Hmmm. She must have done a bit more than tick a few boxes.

She must have given them her card details. The box ticking was probably her agreeing to them feltching eighty quid from her account.

Errrr ST,

you might wanna change that from f****ing to something else.

• krisdorey some of the rubbish you have been spouting is laughable. you cut and paste extracts from the T&Cs stating....
If you would like to cancel You must inform Us in writing by email to customerservices@myloan.co.uk or by writing to My Loan, Cottage Street Mill, Cottage Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 8DZ. Then in the next breath you're saying you cant get a refund by email.
then you post a link for the T&Cs that does not work.

Basically the company are a bunch of CON ARTISTS.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Put your mind to it skegotty, can you think of another kind of writing but doesn't go via email?

I'll help you, it involves an envelope and a stamp.

Emails can be deleted/ignored at a whim. The written word has been widely accepted by the courts for many years, hard copies through the post is ALWAYS the recommended method.

Nobody is saying it will be easy to get a refund, it is however, the only way.

You were happy enough to spend as much time as necessary throwing all your bank details out to anyone and everyone who fancied dipping in your account for some cash, try devoting as much enthusiasm to getting your money back.

The Terms and Conditions you seek can (today) be found at https://www.myloan.co.uk/home/terms. krisdorey's message was posted eight months ago. URLs change.

Today the Terms and Conditions contains this:
6. Cancellation
Under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions and receive a full refund. If You wish to wish to cancel your application, You must write to Us. In this event We will refund your fee within 30 days of the date of which We receive your written request to cancel your application. If you would like to cancel You must inform Us in writing by email to customerservices@myloan.co.uk or by writing to My Loan, Cottage Street Mill, Cottage Street, Macclesfield Cheshire, SK11 8DZ

As the cancellation period is time sensitive it's generally considered advisable to send the notice of cancellation by recorded delivery so that the sender has proof it was sent and received.

Do you have this in writing? if so give them the 30 days and if you still havent received the refund contact the financial ombudsman http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/
Forward copys of all correspondence that has been sent/received to them and they will take up your complaint(for free)
if you havent got anything in writing then im afraid you will need to start over except this time do everything by recorded delivery and keep copys..Good luck and dont give up till you have gotten your money back

• Hi and thanks for your reply.

The only thing i do have in writing as such is emails to and from katie from my loans.

i quote her message she sent via email '' Thank you for the return of your completed Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire. We are happy to confirm your refund will be issued within 30 days.
Many thanks ''

She seemed genuine on the phone and dont have any reason to doubt it , however, from what i have read on this site and various others makes me wonder.

Regards

What on earth does a Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire have to do with a refund?

Replies 2, 3, 17, 43 and 45 all state the method to obtain a refund. By all means ignore them all and keep your fingers crossed, you might get a refund but you might not.
