before i go pls can someone clear up the lindt eggs confusion-any barcodes for the 1p ones?? none of my stores have scanners and i think there might be some on a clipstrip in one store but major trouts no SS till and no scanner so will need a major plan of attack for after work tomorrow if only if someone can confirm which ones are 1p, thanks xxx
To avoid any confusion here is a full list of what I got this evening
100g clipstrip bags of Lindt Eggs BBE 8/12 BC 7534 (this was a sticker over the original barcode which ended in 2408. I dont know what BC 2408 scans at)
165g Bags of Creme Egg Splats BBE 8/12 BC 2850
Single Cadburys Creme Egg BBE July 2012 (I think, hard to read that part) BC 1600
Single Lindt Egg (creme egg sized) BBE unknown BC 8739
2 pack Caramel Bunnies BBE July 2012 BC 9515
Small rectangular cardobard box of Mini Eggs (about 3 inches tall - can't see a weight) BBE 31/7/12 BC 2515
Small Lindt Bunny (maybe 10g?) BBE unknown, BC 1683
I also saw 1p SELs for Malteaster bunnies and Aero Mint Lambs but they were sold out so I didn't buy them and can't confirm barcodes
FYI, bags of Smarties mini eggs are full price, as are Kinder eggsApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

In my Express there were 1p SELs on display for both these items.
Both were completely sold out :mad:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Brilliant! Thanks for the info!
I also forgot to say that there is no upfront cost for the phone and that I have unlimited data for the first 3 months. Vodafone have this 'test data' thing; after the 3 months are up, you get sent a text to say how much you've used and recommend better (and probably more expensive!) price plans.
I doubt I'll use much data while out and about. I certainly won't be watching any videos on youtube or anything like that. Most of my web browsing will be done at home where we have wireless internet....so I think I'll be ok. I'm also going to check my usage everyday on the vodafone website; especially after the unlimited data finishes.
Can't wait to get it!
P.S. Have you got the link to the MSE app please?
The thing is.....
You may not watch youtube vids, but you might find yourself using at as your music player, or listening to the radio, or watching the BBC news when you're on lateshift, or using it for facebook/twitter, or navigation when you suddenly find yourself lost etc, etc, etc....
The whole thing about a smart phone is you'll find quite a few useful APPS and it's these that will chew data, the network boys know this which is why they offer these 'low' priced plans as a surprisingly high number of people get caught out and end up paying more.
Giffgaff save money because they spend no money on marketing, it's all word of mouth.
In total I have 3 phones and 2 tablets on GG sims, all GG to GG calls are free and don't count towards your monthly usage, freephone number are really free, 0845 numbers are not premium charged.....In one month I used 9GB on one of the tablets and GG didn't make any issue of it.0
