Companies house shows the company was incorporated in 1994.

But the registration form doesn't use SSL Security so that's already a huge put off.

The domain name though is registered to an indicidual in California on 07-Oct-2012..... so not reassuring!

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even belong to the company number they quote. The website also looks poor.

I wouldn't use them.

Another site which is virtually identical to eumotodepot.co.uk, and which at least some of the cars have EXACTLY THE SAME CARS LISTED as eumotodepot.co.uk is https://www.bmc-cars.co.uk named as Barclay Motor Co.

ukcarpay.co.uk looks identical to autosnetpay.co.uk.
Both sites carry a fake verisign seal and both claim to be part of "PayPoint Network Limited" (who operate bill payment points in newsagents etc). I have confirmation from paypoint that autosnetpay.co.uk. is nothing to do with them. Paypoint reportedly passed information to the National Criminal Intelligence Bureau, and autosnetpay.co.uk has now been taken down.

I'll report ukcarpay.co.uk and hopefully they will do the same.

i had a same problem with those guys. the name was Adam Michalski,but he has another name Matt Kowalski. I report everything to the actionfraud and the police also. I asked the Barclays to frozen that bank account,but they did not reply me for a week!!! i can not belive,they can doing this already 6 months, and police,and Barclays did not do anything. I do not understand Barclays why did not frozen that bank account,if they using it for fraud.
We should find a way, how we can stop them!!!!

Has anyone had any luck with police or Barclays yet?

I've not heard anything from either in weeks. Police seem to be overwhelmed by the vastness of this fraud and to be quite honest i believe they can't do anything about it either.

I believe all chances of seeing a penny back of the 6000 i lost have all gone now.

Barclays investigated said there not at fault and if i still wasn't happy go through ombudsman. Wrexham CID are investigating but they haven't updated me as yet, but cause its so spread out they are relying on info from other forces. In reality crime does pay!!!

Barclays, nor any other bank, will not "freeze" a bank account at the request of a random member of the public.

I hope that explains it.

I have recently been scammed by the same 'Michael Kowalski' who's been working in Ireland and no longer needs this lovely BMW as he's driving a truck now, again via Gumtree. He suggested to avoid him wasting a journey all the way from Ireland to use Top Car Broker .co.uk website ( still active). I checked the link to Companis House and an 'American partner' website (not thoroughly enough) and was caught good & proper. Fraud squad investigating but for anyone else please avoid this site -- no matter how good the deal looks! Fraud Squad visiting Gumtree offices today.

I was scammed by Adam Michalski for £7200 end of Nov, these are some of the names, companies, phone no, bank accounts etc he uses. I have reported it to my bank, Barclays, the police and gumtree, no one seems to interested, I have escalated the banks to the Ombudsman.
