Hi Shala-moo - did succumb to the Lakeland lure - but only spend £25 including £5 off and free delivery, instead of £54. Does that count as money saving?

Just claimed £20 *maz0n vouchers from S&S and OPd - knocked another month off end date - now June 2030:j.

Overspent at the weekend on cushions & a throw for new lounge & a new kettle to replace leaky one - transferred £100 from pot that was aimed for credit card.:(

Need to take new work dress I bought last week back to Matalan as the seam has come undone - should be £15 refund.

  • I too have placed a lakeland order free delivery and £5 off a £42 order. Have bought 3 presents in that though.

    Very tempting it is.

I wasn't as good as you MCI - I bought a breadstick maker for my breadstick loving DD2 to try out, a chocolate house mould, a doughnut mould & 2 whisks to make up the order. I didn't buy the chocolate sleigh mould or the holly wreath biscuit tin, although still lusting after them!

2nd job payday has been left in current account today, need to pay for MILs car tax, but just found out she also needs an MOT.

Online food shop has been done - £68.11, along with £6.84 spent in c00p yesterday, I'm just on budget. Hopefully won't spent too much at weekend as my spreadsheet now says I will run out of money at end of month. I'll just have to do some juggling!

£10.64 more spent in T£$co last night, in there wasting time while waiting to collect DD1! Blaming DH for this!

Busy weekend ahead, DD2 has her birthday party tomorrow - roller skating - unfortunately a lot of people either can't come or haven't replied. So far 13 definite - hopefully more will turn up. Then a sleepover for 3 of them on sat night, then a possible cinema visit sun morning. Also family over on Sunday pm for afternoon tea. No decorating will be done the weekend!

And finally on Monday it's actually her birthday! Seems to last the whole weekend!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Just received an offer from T£$co - spend £80 each week for the next 4 weeks and get £40 voucher.

But.... it has to be the next 4 weeks and we're away on holiday for the 1st one! These sort of offers usually give you longer to get your qualifying weeks don't they?

DD2 had a lovely birthday weekend - why do kids birthdays last for days?

Ended up spending another £12 on cinema tickets & £20 on more mcds (must stop that habit!).

If I leave this weeks 2nd job money in - I'll just about break even this month - payday on Friday as we're away next week.

MFW- £5.10 OP from WHS survey payout today.

  • Glad DD2 had a good birthday.

I had that same deal through from Mr T - but decided not go ahead with it as I am not going to spend that much at Mr T over that period - plus as I normally do a monthly shop and top ups it would be more of a hassle than it was worth.

    Thanks MCI & Tootoo,

2nd job wages left in current account to leave -£1.30 at end of month, the also allows for this weeks food budget of £70 to be transferred to holiday fund for next week.

Had some bad news - my aunty had part of her thyroid out 3 weeks ago, and now they've tested it they've found cancerous cells. Now waiting for further tests to see how bad it is. Worrying times.
