Thanks MCI - the idea is that for each pass she can pick a new charm - could work out quite expensive when she takes them properly in 2 years!

DD1s exam pass cost me more than I anticipated. The jeweller managed to sell me a package that included a safety chain & a bead for £99. I put the safety chain on mine & let her keep the bead. Will pay for from next 2 weeks 2nd job money.

Also needed to buy DH 2 new pairs of trousers (£28) as he is now panicking that he has nothing to wear to dinner on the cruise. Hopefully he won't feel too underdressed. Taken from holiday clothes pot which now sits at -£112.35:eek:. Needs to be cleared from food savings after holidays.

DH also presented me with a credit card bill for £323.84 as he'd been using that instead of debit card as he'd 'mislaid' his debit card. I found it in my purse:mad:. Will need to clear this from 2nd job after I've paid for bracelet. £48 is DD1s 1Direction ticket, £64 for dentist & £211.84 on my birthday & miscellaneous.

Have come to wonder wether the amount of work involved in going on holiday is actually worth it! Have spent all week trying to be up to date at main job, and worrying about all the mistakes and work I'll come back to. Then also trying to do 2 weeks work in advance at my 2nd job.

Also needed to empty and pack away lounge/diner ready for builders, and wash, iron and pack for all 4 of us.

I'm ready for my holiday now!

See you in 10 days xxx

Hi, thanks everyone, back from an absolutely amazing holiday.

Have sorted bank today - OPd regular £300, interest added of £265.40 (offset saving £76.54). Another month knocked off - now August 2030.

£75 transferred to next holiday pot due to food budget not being used, £75 to xmas pot, £14.25 to car tax, £5 to goddaughter's fund & final £204 to this holidays pot.

We nearly managed to stay on budget for hol, apart from 220euros on an excursion to Anne Frank House (which DH paid for from savings as he knew I'd wanted to go for a long time) & 100euros for photos onboard, which was cheaper than getting them done in a studio here.

This month will be tight, but I am lucky enough to have a second job to pay for all the extras.
