Great day today!
First I received a letter - £25 Premium Bond win! :j
Then I am having a declutter - unearthed some vintage cookery books that I found in Mil's flat when we were sorting out over there. :j
There are 6 books but the most exciting one is -
1942 - Feeding The Family In War-Time.
I will be trying out some of the recipes in the future - watch this space!
Doesn't take much to excite me!

I spent £21.45 today and I'm happy with that. I got lot's of spices, toilet rolls, cereal, juice, lentils plus lot's more. I didn't pick up anything that I didn't need or would need in the next few days.
If anyone needs turmeric then the big bags at MrT (haidi) are reduced to 97p£36/£240

We are having an early tea so here it is:
Pork chops with lemon and mint couscous (first time I've picked mint this year:j) and fresh ginger yoghurt.
Very healthy and clean tasting.
Cost:
93p whoopsied chops,
Mint free
Lemon 5p
Couscous around 40p worth
Fresh ginger was 4p for about 5 roots which were whoopsied. I used half a root so less than a penny's worth,
Yoghurt was 5 big pots for a quid. I used a third of a pot so about 7p worth.
Cumin was about 2p worth (I bulk buy from Asian shops)
Around £1.50 for 4 servings = 38p per serving:j:T:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
