This is a total outrage. Loyal customers like myself being shafted. Unbelievable, I have been with then since about 1991/92 and have always paid full price and then they shaft us like this.

Welcome to Sky World (excuse the pun). I've always paid full price apart from a swift 3month 1/2 price deal a couple of years back when the missus was on maternity leave, they really don't care about subscribers, they want new subscribers !!!!
Since January Sky seemed to have pulled most of the half price deals to retain you (this directive was revealed in a press release), some people have reported being offered 2, 3 or 4 consecutive three month 1/2 price deals last year so sky have probably sussed this one out, me thinks they have lost a great deal of punters recently but aparently are prepared to take it on the chin.
This offer is a genuine enticer for the Freesat brigade as you will find out if you ask the majority of customer service people (who will not move), but there are a few operators who don't really seem to be bothered who you are as long as you answer the odd question correctly and that you don't give them your old sky viewing card number (which seemingly gives an error on their system), ask for a new one instead.
Sky are the only people who i will 'act dumb' with on the phone if it's going to benefit me because their marketing techniques stink in the way they offer new customers far better deals, with car/house insurance etc you can always go elsewhere but Sky are a monopoly for a lot of people (including me) and that grates big time

At what point will Sky realise that they have offered 10,000 half price deals when they've only got 8,000 Freesat customers :rotfl:
