I called but the lady said they keep track of where the leaflets are distributed and they have'nt done any in my area so I can't have the deal
I'll ring up again in a few days and say I've heard of this deal and that I'm not happy that they wont give it to me. If they are still adamant they can't offer it to me then I'll ask to speak to cancellations as I don't think its fair to give a deal to people in one county/city and not to others.
TBH Sky is a crock anyway, there's never anything good on and I'm very much tempted to go over to freeview. What they respond will be the deciding factor methinks.:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -
I was a Sky subscriber until 2 weeks ago. I telephoned asking about this deal. She just said, "Uh-huh. Uh-huh," over and over again until I mentioned the offer code. I gave her my post code and she couldn't find me on the Freesat system. She asked for my viewing card number - still no success. This is when I thought she would say no. She then said, "I'll just set up an account and send you out a new viewing card then."
So - all mixes plus movies for £18 a month for a year. Happy am I! :beer:0 -

YES it WILL .If you just tell them you have had freesat and "lost" the card and have had a leaflet offering you a free trial.....job done !!!Onwards and Upwards0 -

I just tried (about 2 mins ago ) and the bloke wanted my sky viewing number as they had no record of me being a freesat customer, so i pretended I lost the card, but he wouldnt have it.
so I said I would phone back later when I find it, he also said I had to have the code which I said was no problem as ive got the leaflet here in front of me.
I am gutted as I am about to loose my sky as inlaws arent going to pay for it anymore and are cancelling it.BARGAINADDICT

when I first rang (sat morning ) they were very busy - rang when fame academy was on and you could hear the Tv in the background - 1st time a girl, 2nd a man - who was fed up, said Id had a leaflet quoting Free trail and Id had my sky cancelled and was getting the free channels at present.
I did have the post which shows the leaflet on my screen so I could quote from it word for word. I asked about the packages and quoted some of the rates ( sounded good ) he said youve not had sky for a year ( Jan 2007 was disconnected ????) thats no problem and Ill put free weekend calls in if you want, or £5 for all free during the day ( had the weekend ones )
Its always best if you have the actual details in front of you so get the post up with the leaflet - dont offer too much informationThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -

We used to have sky for years but last year we cancelled... we still have all te equiptment though.

just rang and was told that all offers had been stopped even the ones for new customers due to the fact that people had been complaining about new customer offers.0
