No joy so far with the evening shift. One person has told me you have to have been cancelled for 2 years before you are eligible for any new offers!

Another told me the record of Sky is agaist the address not the person - so that rules out OH.

Oh - well I shall still be £600 better off per year if I never go back to them!

Keep going dood, it took me 4 goes - others 5 or 6.

I've worked on call centre's before and there's always one or two who don't know what their doing.

Just look of the draw.

Waste of time!.Been a week not received my card gave wrong details but they still linked it to my old account!.I set it up last fri,and when I gave the details and my new account number they had already had it noted that I cant have the offer or the card.My sky will go off 6 April and they wont do a deal while its pending,so I have to wait till then.I spoke to so many people I was told I can have 10% of for 3 months but others said ring back on 6 April.Then I tried to set up a new acct with sky for my relation who needs equipment they said no deals!.only the £26 offer for phone broadband tv basic package.I dont know how some of you new customers got free sky+ and connection.They wont seem to do that.

Cost me a fortune in phone calls,rang back and now have 3 months half price.Wont switch off after all,her computer went down and she then couldnt do it but she promised to ring me back.So hope she does.

Out of my contract, and gave notice in Feb. Been disconected for a couple of weeks now and the other half is driving me mad moaning about how little there is to watch and that sky plus no longer works, so thought I would try and get it connected back up for mothers day (as long as I could get a discount). Spoke to some bloke who sounded like one of the grumpy old gits out of the muppet show, and even with my best charm offensive the best they would offer me was 10% of the monthly subs. Told him that a "friend" had managed to get 12 months at 1 3rd off for coming back, and the guy insisted that he had not heard of any offers like that!!! Still being polite I said that it was still a bit more than I wanted to pay and left a long pause giving him a chance to up the offer, and nothing,

How have others managed to get the 1/3rd off deal, and what number / options did you use?

I've still got nowhere either - they insist there are no offers for existing customers.

I think I might start turning my attention to some of the free DVD rental trials.....

I was going to cancel sky but as hubby says if we went to the cinema for one night it would cost us the same price as sky does for the month. Our pack costs £16.80 a month at the mo.

Forget speaking to SKY on their normal number i got passed around about 3 different departments and they refused to offer me anything. The freesat number is the only one that seem to offer you anything (either 12 or 6 months 1/2 price subs).

Have been with SKy for 3 yes but also have a coupld of old FREE SAT cards which i use in another house in spain

Rang them on the number from my homephone and they said NO can do you are an existing subscriber. Then called them back from my mobile. Was offered the 12 months 1/2 deal and after some haggling got FREE SKY+ Install

Wicked. Just got to cancel my existing contract and I am away.

Thanks scoopy, but any idea which option to select when you get through? I did try that number and it just tells you to press X to buy freestat etc etc
