Sounds good, so what number do I phone again? and how do I word it?0

I got the package yesterday. Mother had Sky but subscription ended over a year ago.
She just receives freeview channels.
Gave my name and phone details. I think the phone line is the main way they trace
if your a previous customer as it wasnt until I gave him home phone number that
he found previous details in system.
I basically fobbed the guy off about partner using the box but was sure she bought
the box separatley and had the trial. Said I had leaflet but thought it was Spam
is it real blah blah asked about broadband and guy offered me package and sent card in post.
There were points were he tried to say ahh u dont qualify blah blah blah but think its
just a test to see your reaction so just ask about offers packages whether it is a general
deal not a scam (jus get them talking)
without saying too much yourself and hey bingo!!
GOOD LUCK ALL0 -

for the third off with new dish just ring the main sales line (08705 800 874) and ask to become part of the sky revolution:rotfl:, just say you were about to join Virgin but heard that there is a special introductory offer of 1/3 any package and free installation, is it available.
Give my name and we'd both get £30 in vouchers each(this is probably against forum rules but pm me if you want)
good luck0 -

Your contract will not start until you activate the card , so you will only be paying for whats activated , so just dont activate the new card and you will be back to where you was before you applied for the offer
Hope this helps0 -
Why do they still want their boxes to connect through a silly dial-up connection when they themselves are proclaiming the goodness of broadband0

Crunchynut,
what did u expect, you signed up for Sky, and only Sky, on this 1/2 price card.
You are tied to Sky with the Broadband and Telephone package, so will NEVER be able to take up any good offers for new customers without cancelling and starting over.
And don't even think about how hard that will be as you'd then need a new telephone provider (presume back to BT) and a gap whilst you have no Internet, then re-sign up with Sky on a new offer.
It doesnt sound pretty does it?
Your best bet will be to ring them in 12 months and ask for a better deal or more for the same money, and see if it works!I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Hi all, I am from Northern Ireland and had already cancelled Sky in January so was switched of on 9th Feb 07.
I rang the number at the start of this thread and quoted Free Trial. I gave the same details as Sky already had, name, address, phone number and although I was put on hold for a couple of minutes I had no problem at all. I did not give my sky card number as I was at work so they are sending me out a new card.
I was not a FreeSat customer and had been with Sky for a number of years. Hope this helps someone else.
Best wishes.0 -
i'm not on the £25 internet, phone and tv package i pay £5 mth, i phoned back and i can cancel broadband and pay remaining months, this will still save me over £300 per yr think i will take this option thanks.0

The sky 6/12 months 1/2 price offer - does it include a free sky + box or is it the standard box?
We've been with Homechoice for 2 yrs (previously sky ) as sky didn't do phone & broadband & tv deal back then . Have been very happy with homechoice until recently with sky's new deals we can have the full monty package for 51p a month more than homechoice!!! ( all sports and movies!!! ):j :T :rotfl:
We signed back up with sky yesterday & got 3 months 1/2 price with free sky + box & free installation!!! We were v.pleased with that ,although my Dad isn't as he signed the same deal a month ago but had to pay £49.00 for the sky + box with free instal!! :eek:0
