I rang the normal Sky number tonight to see if there was any deals but all i could get was a recon Sky+ box supplied and installed for £49 and SkySports with 2 mixes for £34 which isnt bad but i then rang the 1/2 price number and got a 1/3 off so only £22.67 but with a normal box. The bloke did say firstly that if i wanted Sky+ then i woud have to pay the full price of £159 because i'd got 1/3 off but then said they'd do it for £109. I declined and just ordered the SkySports and 2 mixes for £22.67.
I may ring back the normal number tomorrow and ask if i could have the recon Sky+ box installed instead for £49. Do you think this would be a cheeky thing to do?

The sky 6/12 months 1/2 price offer - does it include a free sky + box or is it the standard box?

    6month 1/2 price = free normal box+install
    12month 1/2 price = no equipment

Here's where I am at with this:

I have got the full package at the moment but my contract ended last November.

I phoned and got through, told them that I had received the free trial and wanted the 12 month full package. I gave her my father in law's address because they have cancelled their Sky about 16 months ago. She told me that it wasn't on the system and I couldn't have it. I said, "That's a shame because I was really looking forward to getting Sky for my girlfriend as a surprise" So the lady said "Hang on a minute". She came back and said she would do it for me because her supervisor was on his lunch!

Basically, I need to know that when the card will be sent to a different address, will I be able to pair it with my box? I have a Sky+ box at the moment, will they be able to activate it with this offer without realising that I am an existing customer?

    Thanks.

it'll be fine as long as you keep the address & phone number consistant, you might want to cancel your existing sub at some point though

Hi Just to update, I got sky 6 package (and new equipment) for £14 a month for a year. I've never had sky before so thought this was a great deal.

Some advice please for those of you who know what they are talking about - Im moving to my new house at end of the month, I want Sky + and the sports channels + the broadband + phone deal (£37 a month i think) but 100 for the sky + box and 60 for installation --- Can i get it cheaper than this by phoning up and asking for a certain deal? -- Other thing i noticed is insatllation is done for free on a sky + box if you select multi-room, can you do this and then cancel multi-room after a month thus saving cash?

    Many thanks

After over an hour on the phone tonight i've ended up with a brand new Sky+ box installed for free and all the packages for £18 for 3 months and then £36 for 9 months . Not the best deal i've read on here but seeing as 15 months ago i issued them a solicitors letter threatening court action when i left them over a billing dispute not a bad deal either .

New box is installed next monday morning .

Yes I got the 6 month 1/2 price deal but already have equipment installed. Would they arrange for another installation and should I hide my box and lnb to get new equipment?
