Just called in, dont even know what freesat is, asked if i was a freesat customer and i said YES, he then asked for my veiwing card number and i said that i am not near sky box right now so took my postcode and phone number and asked when i cancelled sky ( I STILL HAVE SKY! ) He then asked me if i bought the sky box and i said yes, he said i am not on the database and i asked about freesat, was told that this offer is only for freesat customers/those who took out a freeveiw in february (NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT!)
Can somebody explain what freesat is and is there anything else I can do to take part in this offer?

Freesat is where people, who don't want a sky contract/tie-in, can have a dish installed for £150 and get a freesat card which is essentially a normal viewing card enabled for a few freeview channels. this offer is trying to entice people into subscribing to a contract ;)

    Hi All

I got this offer but was already on sky+ but out of contract.

I have cancelled the contract and it finishes on 4th of April.

I have had my new sky card for just over three weeks now but have not activated it. Is there a limit to how long I can wait before I activate my new card, can I wait until after 4th April?

I have 2 phone lines so can activate by the second number.

    Thanks

No grmm, the whole point of their offer is to give a bit back to those that have paid for their installation. So they are hardly likely to come out and install it for you as you are already meant to have it.

Your best route would be to try and get the offer, then get an independant satellite engineer to fit your dish. Depends how much that would cost and what package you wanted as to whether it would be worthwhile or not.

its along thread but half way through someone found another deal which was free new dish.box & installation + 1/3 off any which worked out at
£29 a month or equivalent to £21.75/month + £85 for a new dish, box and install + 12months guarantee. Its going to cost you the price of the box off ebay and £60 standard install :o

It's a dreaded 0870 number. For those who don't know find an alternative on https://www.saynoto0870.com

I have been using 01506831782 with no problems (I'm on talk unlimited so this is free for me)
There is a freephone number that I haven't tried, 0800 0512595. If anyone tries this number please report back.
