This hasnt been publicised yet as far as I am aware
after making a claim lloyds have staff now phoning up clients trying to trick them out v what they may have put on their claim form,
As a result lloyds this week rejected a massive number of claims, they never used to reject any.
lloyds are now rejecting a lot of claims
you have been warned
if you have been the victim of receiving a phone call from lloyds then having your claim rejected shortly after then please let others know here
the banks are up to their usual tricks
nothing has changed
beware

About time too. The auto paying out of complaints has made it difficult to judge outcomes because people not entitled have been getting money. This was always going to stop once the backlog was reduced.
You cannot blame the banks. They are now reporting as many as half the PPI complaints as being fraudulent.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Oh yes it has. The banks have realised the tricks a lot of consumers are up to.
Frankly it is about time the blatant breaches of the Fraud Act resulted in prosecution.0 -
Does make you wonder how much bad influence the 'PPI Claims Companies' are in all of the fraudulent activity? Surely they must trick people into making claims that were never mis-sold?
I also do not get why Lloyds would ring customers, surely they would write so things are in hard copy?Shirley
Only YOU can stop YOU achieving what you want in life :cool:0 -
Are you sure that it is Lloyds who are ringing?
It could be yet another twist by the claims-chasing scammers to get information from you and then contact you again, days later, to explain that they have received information that you have the grounds for a claim.0 -
fraud? the fact that people may submit a claim because they are unsure they had ppi isnt fraud, there is no chance of success because if it doesnt have ppi it cant win, fraud is the wrong word and language of the banks
dont accuse people of fraud because they are unsure if they had ppi, a lot of people said hey didnt want ppi and the forms were still ticked on their behalf in the first place
why blame cmc's - this is also bank talk, are we sure some people are not being paid here by the banks to post?
the banks are the ones who ripped people off, and are still doing it, please dont tell me you have fallen for the line that people unsure if they had ppi are slowing down the whole process, I could give you 10 ways the banks are slowing down the claims of people if they really want to, in fact this "fraud" thing is designed to slow down claims not speed them up
and yes Lloyds are making calls to people and rejecting large numbers of claims on mass - people will start to report shortly I am sure, they do reject some even when they cant get through, so not sure of the point of the phone call
By the way this arent "fraud" as they all had ppi
dont buy into this banks good cmc bad - im sure this is being put out there by banks who ripped people off in the firstplace and still using all underhand methods to continue ripping people off0 -
New poster, methinks claims co advocate
:p
POST 3.and thats why you dont want to do the claim yourself

You are correct, people on this site have put claims in for mis sell to the banks and then had a phone call from the alleged bank re the PPI claim only to find out later that it was a claims co.Are you sure that it is Lloyds who are ringing?
It could be yet another twist by the claims-chasing scammers to get information from you and then contact you again, days later, to explain that they have received information that you have the grounds for a claim.
There is nothing these companies will not stoop to get money out of people, give me a choice between a claims co and a bank and the bank wins hands down.0 -
lloyds have confirmed themselves in the letters of rejection they have made these calls or attempted to make these calls
there may be imperfect claims management companys , however lets not forget the mis-selling was done by the banks, not by the claims mamagement companys and there are a lot of claims management companys who do a fantastic job for people and win back money for people they would not otherwise have received0 -
raud? the fact that people may submit a claim because they are unsure they had ppi isnt fraud, there is no chance of success because if it doesnt have ppi it cant win, fraud is the wrong word and language of the banks

So, you think it isnt fraud when someone puts in a complaint about how they were sold PPI and how they remember what was said and what was done wrong. Yet they dont even have PPI and that conversation never happened?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. No I Dont , the amount of loans cards and credit cards, the sophisitication of customers v the sellers in financial terms, the amount of money being ripped off clients in the first place , thats the fraud, and this is a 2nd fraud pretending its slowing claims down where the banks have 10 ways they use themselves to slow claims down, this situation arose because of the banks, I for one dont think this is the time to be pointing the finger at the consumer, let those in the financial positions of responsability take responsability , if these situations hadnt happened in the first place, then there wouldnt be any money to be paid back, blame the banks not the people0
