Beware Lloyds Claims. Trick phone calls

  • there may be imperfect claims management companys , however lets not forget the mis-selling was done by the banks, not by the claims mamagement companys and there are a lot of claims management companys who do a fantastic job for people and win back money for people they would not otherwise have received

Rubbish, Claims Management Companies mislead people, and that is a FACT. They fail to mention the +VAT part of thier 'deal', hide thier rates in the smallest print legible, chase people with invoices before the bank has paid the client the money then threaten them with court action. Spam people's emails, mobiles and present misleading adverts. Want me to go on? No banks are not faultless in this, they led a lot of people on, but at least they have the processes in place to redress this. I believe (correct me if I am wrong) most banks have a webpage for helping you complain about PPI, and on this page it encourages you to stay away from CMC!

No I Dont , the amount of loans cards and credit cards, the sophisitication of customers v the sellers in financial terms, the amount of money being ripped off clients in the first place

That is just rubbish. It does not give people or claims companies an excuse to lie and submit fraudulent complaints when no wrong doing has taken place.

So, you think it isnt fraud when someone puts in a complaint about how they were sold PPI and how they remember what was said and what was done wrong. Yet they dont even have PPI and that conversation never happened?

Dunstonh makes a very valid point. It's important to remember that PPI isn't an inherently bad product, but it is not suitable for everyone and was sometimes mis-sold. If someone is unsure whether they have PPI, and believe it may have been added without their knowledge, they should contact their lender or submit a SAR. People speculatively submitting complaints DOES clog up the system for people who were genuine victims of mis-selling.
  • it is when its over priced and cant be claimed on, and very profitable to the banks and not good for the consumer, would you care to publish the payout figures on ppi and the profits the banks made

yes ppi is a good product if it sold fairly and is fairly priced and suitable to the persons needs

but that is not ppi as we know it or what people are claiming back redress for

people have been deliberately mis-led left right and centre, dont blame them if they are confused, that is how it was designed to be

Are we talking about PPI or are we talking about claims companies with their massive take on redress payments all for sending in a one-size-fits-all template letter that takes about 30 seconds to generate and costs a bit of paper, ink, envelope and stamp.

  • how much does it cost to bring to the attention of someone that they may be entitled to redress and to the point that a claim is submitted, by the way templated claims are not correct and result in the banks rejecting more of the claims, ironically using their own template
  • you are criticising people for helping people win redress and charging clients, presumably as they advertise for clients, so if they hadnt advertised for clients, the client would be saving themselves 25-30%, the banks would be saving themselves 100%

I guess thats why you spend all day posting the mis-information that you do

Are you trying to insinuate that CMCs don't use templated letters? :rotfl:
