Beware Lloyds Claims. Trick phone calls
Comments
-
i have had 2 such calls today from them. basically just asking me what i had already put on the initial claims form.
would i have been able to make payments if i was of work
how long i had worked at the company i was working for when i first took out the cards
what was my job position
had i any other means to pay if i was out of work
like i said the answers to all these where written on the initial claim so i dont understand why they feel the need to contact me again.
must say im a little worried now though

So, you think it isnt fraud when someone puts in a complaint about how they were sold PPI and how they remember what was said and what was done wrong. Yet they dont even have PPI and that conversation never happened?
It's not fraud all you are basically doing is asking if you were mis sold PPI, because you believe you might of been.
You have to remember that the form is asking for information from years ago so you are not going to remember everything. Like in mine only from 2006 or 2007 I don't remember checking a box for PPI but I do remember them talking about PPI when the phoned me up.
They have since rejected it, which is fair enough, I might still pass it on to the financial ombudsman though just to see what they say as I didn't need the PPI at all so still might be a case of them miss selling, doubt it but might as well try and get some money back that I had no reason to pay in the first place.Debt
Barclaycard (0% for 29 months) = £2500
Barclaycard (0% until September 14) =£476.93
Barclaycard (0% until October 14) = £390.82
Barclaycard (0% until May 16) = £105.58
TOTAL DEBT = 10364 (aim to clear June 16)0 -
I'd welcome the banks paying me for posting, I'd still only post my own opinion!:Dppidisgrace wrote: »are we sure some people are not being paid here by the banks to post?

Thanks Wigan Wayne for bringing this to people's attention and for ignoring the idiots.
I wonder why they called you to ask those questions, keep up posted to let us know if they made you an offer or not.
More will come forward with notice of one of these calls from lloyds
good luck with your claim0 -
ppidisgrace wrote: »fraud? the fact that people may submit a claim because they are unsure they had ppi isnt fraud, there is no chance of success because if it doesnt have ppi it cant win, fraud is the wrong word and language of the banks
Section 2(1) of the Fraud Act 2006 says:
"(1)A person is in breach of this section if he—
(a)dishonestly makes a false representation, and
(b)intends, by making the representation—
(i)to make a gain for himself or another, or
(ii)to cause loss to another or to expose another to a risk of loss."
Section 2(2) says
"(2)A representation is false if—
(a)it is untrue or misleading, and
(b)the person making it knows that it is, or might be, untrue or misleading."dont accuse people of fraud because they are unsure if they had ppi,
The law says they have committed fraud.a lot of people said hey didnt want ppi and the forms were still ticked on their behalf in the first place
He who asserts must prove - where is your evidence?why blame cmc's - this is also bank talk, are we sure some people are not being paid here by the banks to post?
Because, [STRIKE]ppi[/STRIKE]ambulancechasingdisgrace, I have a case where an ambulance chaser has submitted a complaint stating that a complainant had "excellent" ill health benefits because she worked in local government when in fact she worked for a local authority.
Because I have a case where an ambulance chaser has got a Policeman to complain that he was sold a non-existent PPI policy.
Because I have a case where an ambulance chaser has accused a firm of breaking 20 FSA rules which did not exist when the alleged misselling took place.
Because I have a case where an ambulance chaser has complained that it was never possible for the payout to exceed the cost of the policy when in fact a premium of under £100 could have resulted in a benefit of over £500,000.this "fraud" thing is designed to slow down claims not speed them up
As far as I am aware, Lloyds TSB has not to date made any allegations of fraud (nor has any other bank). I just think they should where it is appropriate.Lloyds are making calls to people and rejecting large numbers of claims on mass
That is because large numbers were NOT missold.dont buy into this banks good cmc bad - im sure this is being put out there by banks who ripped people off in the firstplace and still using all underhand methods to continue ripping people off
If you bothered to read my other posts you would see that I am not a fan of the banks - and have not been paid by one since 2004.
I however, whilst banks are incompetent and possibly underhand at times, every CMC I have ever had the misfortune to deal with has been unethical.
I suppose there is a place in the world for them but that can also be said of all the other forms of parasite.0 -

The so-called 'idiots' are the people who took PPI on the basis that "i felt under pressure" or "I thought i had to have it" or "i was young", and every other excuse going.
As are those who didn't look at the figures which said how much they were going to borrow after PPI was lumped on.
And those who couldn't be bothered to open statements and look at what they were being charged for.
Anyone who thinks that people they do business with are doing it for the love of them and not to make money out of them needs a wake-up call. I don't care how lovely a sales advisor is to me, they are only there to SELL and make money off me. Therefore I don't ever believe anything I am told until I've checked it for myself.0 -
this thread is about calls from lloyds bank to people after they have submitted their claims
this thread is not about you, your clique , or your trolling
these calls that were not happening, one person has already come forward
others will now hopefully
so the public can be aware and learn
save your nonsense and go elsewhere onto a different thread
you are not adding anything to it
just being confrontational and blocking people off from sharing information
you have already learnt something new today, you did not know this morning
now please let us post and discuss this in peace without you calling people who were pressured into buying ppi idiots, thank you and move on0 -

I just rang lloyds ppi customer care. They categorically stated they would only ever write to clarify details. I would be careful of any other calls like this! More than likely not who they say they are.Shirley
