Beware Lloyds Claims. Trick phone calls

I have seen it in writing where lloyds have confirmed making these calls, or confirmed attempting to make these calls0

you may be onto something here. when they phoned me the other day on both occasions they rang my mobile and both times the number was withheld. not once has my home phone (daytime number) been called. the weird thing is today a ppi claims company has rang my mobile number saying they could help me out??
now i have had these calls in the past but always to my home phone and NEVER my mobile. how would this company know that i had sent a claim into lloyds though and more importantly how had they got hold of my mobile number
may be something and nothing and only time will tell but i just thought i would let you know0 -
Could ppidisgrace confirm why Lloyds calling customers is such a bad thing? If you have submitted a genuine complaint and they call to clarify the details of that complaint where is the problem? The phrase 'if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear' seems appropriate. If you don't feel comfortable discussing the matter over the phone or you have hired a CMC you could simply request they put their questions in writing or advise them to contact the CMC as your representative.0

it wont be long before people with rejection letters from lloyds start posting on here, or people who received a phone call0

Borris The Bear, the customer has appointed someone to work on their behalf, why should the banks choose to ignore this instruction clearly given , a legal document, off course the banks have learned nothing and consider them above the law to ignore their customers instructions,
do you think they make these phone calls to increase or reduce the amount of money they pay out, they do it to entrap people with leading questions in attempts to reduce paying this money back to people
thats why people should discuss and share their experiences so they can be warned,
this isnt about nothing to hide, this is about people who want to claim back their mis-sold ppi, and have appointed someone to work on their behalf, if the person is going to be charged their fee, at least the customer should get the cmc doing the work for them, and since when can banks pick and choose which legal documents and instructions from their customers they adhere to or not,
Banks have so many stalling tactics to try to reduce their ppi liability and ordinary people are getting stung left right and centre, especially with people with no experience not even knowing what is going on0 -
just to clarify i have not gone through a claims handler i have processed all the claims myself.
guess i will just have to wait to find out the outcome but if i receive any more calls in the future i will post them on here0 -
            Thanks Wayne
And I wouldnt worry, not that if it will affect your claim, I would in all honesty be slightly concerned, but I wouldnt worry that the questions were from lloyds, looking at them they all relate to your claim and probably what you put in your questionaire, and there is nothing for anyone to gain by asking you those questions, theres a lot of scare storys around but most of them just rely on guessing such as " your loan with lloyds", "your loan with barclays" etc eventually they get lucky and someone thinks, how did they know
but these were questions of a different nature,
good luck and let us know how you go on0 -

quick update, just come off the phone with lloyds tsb and can confirm that it WAS indeed them that got in touch with me on 2 separate occasions so it does seem that they have started to call people up
i am a little less worried now as i only gave them the same information that i had written on the claim
the lady i spoke to told me i should receive a reply within 2 weeks so fingers crossed and watch this space0 -

would i have been able to make payments if i was of work
how long i had worked at the company i was working for when i first took out the cards
what was my job position
had i any other means to pay if i was out of work
like i said the answers to all these where written on the initial claim so i dont understand why they feel the need to contact me again.
must say im a little worried now though
I had the same call a few days ago and just received a rejection letter today
One of the main reasons stating that the cost of the policy etc. were explained at the time - they weren't! Also stating that everything would have been explained in the documentation - no documents were provided!0
