You're not on your own. Ours is going to drag into another weekend now. I've stopped saying 'maybe we'll hear by his time next week'.
If our seller starts getting impatient I fear we're going to lose this house.0 -

This is my worst fear too as I there are far too many buyers than there are houses in the area I am looking.
Vendor is already after my life asking for why is it getting delayed so much.0 -
Can posting a letter really take so long that 4 days since I got the text that offer letter has been issued and still nothing so far has come to me.0

The offer is approved, then it takes a couple of days for it to be printed and the envelope stuffed. Then it is posted and that may take another day, then a couple of days in the course of post, so a week from the point the offer is approved is normal.
I email my clients a copy of ours as soon as it can be downloaded from online Case Tracking.I am a mortgage broker. Hi Kingstreet
Can you tell me one thing please, I know a bank as a lender can back off anytime but what are the chances of them doing that, i already have e mail copy of my offer. Based on that can the solicitor start his searches and stuff as he is saying I will wait for my copy to come to me from the bank and then do the searches.0 -
Solicitors are cautious by nature. There may be things in the solicitor's instructions which he won't get until the postal offer arrives. He is, after all acting for the lender as well as for you...
If you instruct him to request searches, I'm sure he will, it is for you to decide to risk your fees earlier, after all.I am a mortgage broker.
