I too am playing the waiting game with Nationwide. Cant complain about the service recieved so far though. I've gone through a broker which saves me having to do all the chasing.

I have found that Nationwide's text messages have been useful to keep updated. And when I spoke to them on the phone today I was told just one more doc. was required which i've sent to my broker now. Wasn't kept waiting on hold for too long either.

I cant comapre this service to others as im a FTB but havent had any major issues with them so far (touch wood)

Quick update, mortgage offer received today, same day as valuation so very pleased. Only 10 days from viewing property to getting the mortgage offer!
All through London & Country and all good despite me being on maternity leave. :-)
  • Weve just had text from Nationwide saying valuation is booked for Thursday 28th February, How long is usually after the valuation s done before we have an offer (crossing fingers) ?

  • We have applied for mortgage with Nationwide, received text saying they ahve received application
    6 months bank statements
    recent payslip
    P60
    Id docs requested.
They contacted yesterdays syaing the'yre missing OH's one of my OH's statements, we've just ordered the extra month which may take up to a week to arrive.
Does anyone know if they will progree with valuation etc without this or will this delay the whole process?

    Thanks
  • I am still waiting for the decision after providing all required documents and also paid money in advance for survey. There are no progress at all and they taking too much time to take a simple decision.

Its almost 3 weeks completed and still I am waiting for the right decision. I am completely tired now chasing with them.

    Hello gingerninja82

Someone from the MSE team should be contacting you shortly with my contact details so that we can help.

Please do not post any personal details on here.

    Thanks

Anthony from the Nationwide media relations team.

  • Nationwide have just confirmed a satisfactory valuation report for my application :)

29th January 2013: First meeting with Nationwide mortgage advisor
4th February 2013: Offer accepted on house
7th February 2013: Second meeting with MA - obtained AIP
12th February 2013: Notified that survey would take place on 14th Feb
13th February 2013: Notified that survey would take place on 20th Feb
20th February 2013: Survey doesn't take place due to mix-up on times between vendor and surveyors
25th February 2013: Notified that survey would take place on 27th Feb.
27th February 2013: Valuation survey carried out
    28th February 2013: Valuation satisfactory

Surveyor called me an hour or so before the survey yesterday to discuss if there was anything that I wanted to look at in particular for the Homebuyers report. Told me to ring him if I had any questions after receiving the report. Yet again, I've had nothing but good service from Countrywide Surveyors so far.

Nothing as of yet. I've dropped my MA a message to ask if there's anything more they need from me. I'll update as soon as I hear anything!
