  • Not yet NewLeaf, but I live in hope :D

DS1 hardly touched his tea and he has a temperature. He just wants to sit quietly and cuddle so he MUST be ill :( Xx

  • Hey Lucky

Thanks for popping into my diary :D I keep meaning to pop into yours but after going back to work PT & trying to get enough time with DD, DH and get enough sleep I have hardly found the time to get on here.

Sorry your little fella is not feeling too well. There are so many bugs going round and I swear the common cold has mutated into some evil man-flu version of itself... (Anyone watch big bang theory? 'We crossed Ebola with the common cold')

Haven't popped back in your diary to catch up with everything that's happened since you were poorly. Hope you're properly better now!!

Take care of you & yours. I have my fingers crossed for your carers allowance being approved quickly.

  • Hi lilt, nice to have you back!

Back from my meeting, cold and wet but in one piece! I've got myself involved in fund raising but I managed to side step some other tasks!
DS1 is fast asleep so will see how he is in the morning, fingers crossed he sleeps through. I'm fine! All lurgy has gone and bleeding has stopped again so for a change I feel human :D. Xx

  • DS1 was fine this morning so has gone to school. DH dug the car out and I braved the drive to Mr T's. It wasn't too bad once we were out the village and on the main roads, but the supermarket carpark was chronic. Amazed they haven't done something about it! On the plus side it was very quiet. Pleased we went when we did though as it has been snowing heavily since we got back. Have to brave it again to get weighed later :(. Been good this week though so should be a decent loss.

Anyway, time for my confession! I spent £105.78 :eek::eek: That's 50% over my weekly budget AND it's only tuesday!! The only defence I have is that I did a real stock up shop incase the snow sticks around, including things like nappies. Puts coming in under budget the last 2 weeks to shame though. On the otherhand we haven't been anywhere for days and days, so no spends on things like softplay or coffees out. I still feel sick about it though.

I think I will go lie down in a darkened room :rotfl:.

    Hi Be Lucky, :hello:

I think it's ok to stock up if the weather's going to be very bad. It will save on potentially dangerous trips out - consider that you might well have avoided a garage bill and maybe more hospital time by over-spending today; all you've got to do is make this load o' shopping last a bit longer than normal. ;)
  • Hi PLMBL

Glad to hear Ds was feeling better this morning.

Don't beat yourself up about the Mr T shop. Try and make it stretch to maybe a week and a half if you can.
The week where we have to buy toilettries, nappies, washing powder etc are always hard weeks to stay under budget.

    Don't beat yourself up xxx
  • Thank you both :A

Eventually made it to fat club after getting stuck in the snow twice . It was worth it though, I've lost 3.5lbs :j:j I've been a bit Blue Peter and made myself a chart to tick off each lb lost :o. Including tonight, I had 12 weigh ins until the first wedding this year and I'm hoping for 2 stone off, which is just over 2lbs per week. I took great delight in colouring in 3 and a half circles on my chart tonight :rotfl:

Well done on the weight loss and don't stress over the extra Mr T spend. I'm sure you can eke it out to last 1.5 weeks and then you are back on track.

    Glad DS is better today
