I am so glad that DH enjoyed himself at Beavers, aren't all men little boys at heart?

So loved the story of your Granny telling you're not THAT big, she sounds like a real character. I can see where you get your resilience from, you're obviously from good stock lol.

Look, even New Leaf envies you your lovely family, I told you you WERE lucky - in fact on Planet Dot you will hitherto be thought of, addressed and referred to as Lucky.

And on that note I predict that your car will either sail through the MOT or cost very little.

Off to make me tea - not been fasting today but have been so busy have eaten very little and am STARVING

    Dot xx

You can be an honorary member of the PLMBL family!! We always have room for more! I have 8 cousins with 6 children between them so far. DH has a much smaller family as his Mum was an only child and his Dad only had one sister (sadly even smaller now as we lost FIL and his sister within months of each other 3 years ago), but DH still has 3 cousins with 3 children between them, so there are always lots of little ones around which I love!

    Dot xx

Yay Dot you were right :j Car passed MOT :j

Blinkin freezing here tonight -6*c on the way home from fat class brrrr. On the subject of fat class, I gained another 2lbs but haven't been weighed since before New Year. Think I probably gained more than that at end of December and have since lost some of it. It's my starting point though and I'm going to try really hard this week.

At the epilepsy clinic with DH tomorrow. Fingers crossed we get some more answers. Also had a call from Carers Allowance folk today who said they are making a decision on my claim and I will hear within 4 weeks.

  • There you go, told you you WERE Lucky lol
  • Hi PLMBL

:TTo car passing its MOT. Phew one less thing to worry about.

Good luck today at the clinic with Dh, hope they can be of some help :).

I also have a very small family, and it can be abit lonely sometimes. I am holding out hope that my two children will have lots of babies so I can be a doting grandma. Have a while to wait yet as my youngest is 8 :o:).

    Speak soon xx
  • Lol Steph I know what you mean about looking forward to being a Granny!

So we went to Epilepsy Clinic today, to be told that DH has only been on half the amount of medication he should have been . He should have been taking 75mg TWICE per day but it has only been prescribed at ONCE per day . Maybe the seizure he had before Christmas wouldn't have happened if they'd got it right!

:mad:How maddenning is that!!. Whose fault was it? your GP?. I would definately go back and ask some questions.

Fingers crossed the extra medication might make Dh feel abit better and also peace of mind that it will help him and hopefully prevent any other seizures. Poor hubby :(.

When DH left Intensive Care to come home after the seizures in September we were told start on 25mg at night, then increase to 50mg after a fortnight and then up to 75mg after a further 2 weeks, so we were definitely under the impression it was one dose daily. Since then the GP's repeat prescription have always had 'once daily' printed on them so we had no reason to believe this wasn't the case. However, the Nurse Practitioner we saw today pulled up a copy of the letter than was sent to the GP on her computer and it clearly says BD which apparently means 'twice daily' and the GP should know this!

I will be speaking the the GP surgery about it

The really annoying part is that 150mg per day is actually the lowest dose prescribed, and they then increase the dose with any subsequent fits. We now don't know whether the seizure last month would have been prevented if DH was on the correct dose, or whether it would have happened anyway, in which case he should now be on even more per day.
