I hope you have a good day in work with lots of festive cheer around. OH and I are about to go out and do our Christmas food shop and every year we end up not speaking at some point, usually because he's being a T!T and I walk off in a huff. :rotfl:

Have received free coffee vouchers from the chain that doesn't pay tax, so rightly or wrongly we will be heading off there after our shop.

Had to leave the boys alone with DH today while I went to work as MIL is poorly. DH seemed good today so I thought they would be fine. They weren't :(. DH had a fit on the kitchen floor, no warning. DS1 phoned an ambulance and gave them all the details they needed then phoned me at work and looked after his brother as his Dad was unconscious on the floor. I got home like a bat out of hell but by that time the ambulance crew were here and DH had come round. They agreed to leave him at home in my care but if he fits again tonight I'm to dial 999 and they will take him in to hospital. He hit his head again on the way down and has had a bit of bleeding from his forehead. He's also bashed his chin and he is very tired and emotional.

I'm just so proud of DS1. I could burst with pride Xx

Oh bless your DS's how frightening it must have been for them. Praying for a peaceful and healthy Christmas and 2013 for you all. You'll be glad to see the back of 2012.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Thank you both. I can't imagine what would have happened if DS1 wasn't there. Seriously thinking about applying for carers allowance now and staying home instead of working. Typical that it happened the 1 day that MIL wasn't there though Xx

^^^^ I couldn't have said it better. I think your DS is amazing, clearly you have shown him what to do and not to panic by your calm ways of dealing with these things. I think your idea of carers allowance is a very good one.

Hope he is ok now and the rest of this year goes well x

  • DH has had no further seizures through the night :j. I didn't sleep well at all as I had one eye open at all times and was aware of every little movement he made, but I'd still say the night was a success. Sleep is for wimps anyway :rotfl:.

I've been up a little while with DS2. The other 2 are still in bed but hopefully DH is still just sleeping soundly.

I'm overwhelmingly and amazingly proud of DS1. I dread to think of what would have happened if he either hadn't been there and it was just DH and DS2, or if he hadn't acted so responsibly. The only thing he couldn't remember was our postcode so he found a letter with it on in the kitchen so he could tell the 999 operator! What a hero!
