Thanks for the idea chocforever. Of all things, we were watching celeb big brother (:o) and he was struggling to follow why people were in domes etc and who was who. I think his mind is playing tricks on him and he keeps talking about random stuff so he isn't fully concentrating on the tv which doesn't help him to follow it. Subtitles would help though.

We are calling it a night now. Fingers crossed he sleeps through and feels better tomorrow Xx

We made it through seizure free (I'll admit to being amazed by this!). I didn't sleep very well but DH did, and he seems more 'switched on' this morning.

Last day of the summer holidays today . Boys back to school tomorrow Xx

Phew to DH... Jellytot has a week off now and then starts new Nursery 15 hours a week... Excited for her as she loves it... but hate missing out on time with her so I feel for you! Think of the free time to chill out a bit in the first couple of weeks! Soon be Christmas

Thank you both. Enjoy your time with Jelly while she is little Lilt, before you know it she'll be almost 10 like my DS1! I can't believe it, double digits in 11 days time for him!!

Today hasn't exactly gone as planned after the car wouldn't start again! BM is picking up a new battery for us when he finishes work so that will be £56 . I don't normally get a birthday present but I'm calling it that!! This is why I will be making savings pots for everything when I'm debt free!

DH has been in a right mood today. He even launched his mobile phone in anger and he is very precious about that as it has all his notes and photos in to remind him of stuff. Thankfully it didn't break or anything as he bounced it on a soft seat, but he did it in front of the boys which was annoying. DH is terrible at only being able to focus on one thing at a time since the accident, and I often have to wait until he's finished one thing before I can talk to him about something else. This in itself is not a problem and I accept it is how he is now, however, he thinks I should drop everything immediately to listen to him or do what he wants me to do, and it's not fair. If I'm already doing 6 things at once, sometimes the 7th just isn't possible!!

That is really awful news about the car battery Lucky This is NOT your birthday present. PLEASE even if you buy it yourself, get a little something for you that you would actually like... :hug: and besides, it's way too early to be calling birthday presents.

You have the patience of a saint, I am not kidding I would have punched him. And told him every bit of tattoo fund money was going on a new mobile phone for the foreseeable future if he broke that one... :rotfl: soft seat or not, displays of temper will be hard enough for the boys anyway (used to frighten me to death when my dad went off on one) without them seeing how to break more stuff... :eek:

I know he doesn't understand, so maybe since his phone is his way to store this information, you should text him an explanation?

Lastly, my sister sent me a pic of my nephew today in his secondary school uniform. I welled up. I remember like it was yesterday holding him in my arms after midnight one night when he was just weeks old, rocking away and smelling his baby head. Next thing, my SIL gives me a clothing brand my other nephew favours. I ask for the size... 'Mens Large' :eek: :eek: he is 15 in December, and once again, I remember him as a tiny tot, at 3 months old having a huge operation... I know I have to catch this fleeting portion of time where she is my real baby... Think that is why I have over 15,000 photos since she was born... :rotfl:

Thanks Lilt! I feel bad for complaining about him now as he's calmed down a lot tonight, and also SA's good news re Mr SA being in remission still has again confirmed how lucky we both are to still have our DH's, whatever their condition!

We have a 3 tier school system here so DS1 has his first day at middle school tomorrow. He has to get the school bus and everything! Big change to just walking to the end of the street! Both boys have their bags packed and ready for when they get up in the morning and DS1 is a mix of excitement and nerves. He's had an upset tummy tonight and he's just been out of bed wandering round half asleep not really knowing what he was doing bless him.

Oh Lucky, I just had a flashback to ex-DH flinging a mug across the kitchen in frustration at some small incident. Sadly, that escalated quite rapidly (around 6 months) to what led to him being ex


I think the suggestion of texting Mr Lucky is a good one. Sadly, I doubt that a threat of removing tattoo funds would have any lasting impact as he won't remember.
