  • Lilt, I'm no marvel! If we stay in the boys end up winding each other up so I like to get them out and about is all:rotfl:.

MiT you will be fab, flirty and fun at 50 I'm sure! Definitely not that other F word :p.

Buffy thank you for your kind wishes. We got through the night but I have no idea how. DH was so jerky I felt like I was on the bouncy pillow that DS1 ripped his trousers on yesterday :(. DH was also emitting a horrible smell too, like he had been sick but he hadn't. I didn't sleep well at all.

Getting weighed tonight, looking forward to it in the first time in weeks! I've been very good!

Lucky sorry you had another disturbed night. Is it possible that Mr L has a chest infection? It's just that DS2 would, as a child, get that sicky smell when he had one. His diaphragm would distend, too, which the doctor said was a swollen gland (like many people get in their neck glands when they've got a sore throat).

When you're finally debt free, maybe you could get a super king size bed with two single mattresses? Then you wouldn't get bounced around by Mr L's jerkiness. That's what my brother has done because he has such fragmented sleep as a side effect from the (cured) throat and neck cancer.

    Hugs

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • I hadn't even considered that it could be an infection Satchmo, so thanks for the input. DH has been ok today (if a little short tempered!) and says he doesn't feel ill at all. I haven't noticed him coughing or sneezing etc but will keep an eye on him. No waves of fear tonight so far so that's an improvement on the last couple of days anyway.

Thanks for the good wishes SA, they worked! I not only lost 5 and a half pounds tonight but I was also crowned Woman of the Year :j:j. I'm so pleased and proud! I got a sash, a crown, a gorgeous bunch of flowers, a certificate and a lovely word picture in a frame which consists of my name and lovely words like 'inspirational', 'courageous' and 'Woman of the Year'. Chuffed to bits.

Earlier today we went to a country park a few towns away that we haven't been to before. It had a load of built in exercise equipment spread around the park which we all enjoyed using and we collected conkers etc. Good times!
