SO pleased the weather was good and you all had a fab day. The hotel sounds scary from the entrance; what is that all about?! But glad it was a warm and relatively safe/clean base for you all!!

Think you need to start carting mars bars everywhere you go for DH regardless of his wanting to be healthy ;) speaking of which, have you seen the cheeky blighters have reduced 4 packs down to 3 packs of all those things? Mars, Snickers, Twix etc? Do they think we are stupid and will happily pay £1 for 3 the same as we did for 4... on offer!? I've switched allegiences to double deckers ;) they still give you 4!! :rotfl: Tangent over anyway, I am happy you had a good time!!

As for the curly hair, Jellys is a magnet for old people :) we haven't tried it on butterflies yet ;)

Enjoy painting, I love it!! xx

    Lucky,
Do you think the Butterfly world is worth it? Despite saying I should go lots of times, I've never actually gone up there to it. Having got a new camera with a better macro on it, I've been itching to try it out on insects and especially butterflies. But always wondered about it whether you're actually let lose with them, or they're all behind glass etc.

3 packs of chocolate bars ???? What is the world coming to???? Robbing scoundrels :rotfl:. You are right about carrying stuff with me though (except it's temptation for me to eat it :o).

DS2's hair is also an old lady magnet, but to be fair loads of people comment on it regardless of age. He keeps asking me 'is it boy hair or girl hair?' and I keep telling him it's gorgeous boy's hair, like Thor :rotfl:. He says he wants it more like Wolverine! Never gonna happen mate :rotfl:.

I really recommend it Lifeforms, particularly for photo opportunities. We nearly didn't go because of the negative reviews on TripAdv1sor, but I'm really glad we went anyway. Twice a day they have a handling/talk session with the snake, tarantula and millipede but the butterflies are accessible all the time. It's a replica rainforest that you walk through and the butterflies are all around you, no nets/cages in sight. They are absolutely beautiful and amazing to touch/see close up. There's also a colony of ants to watch, bees making honey, weird flightless bird things and turtles all to see close up. Plus scorpions/snakes/spiders/stick insects in tanks etc. All great stuff Xx

  • 5 hours painting at Grandma's today. Missed the scorching sun! Back tomorrow to do the gloss work. Today the boys came with us and watched dvds and played Lego and loom bands in Grandma's bedroom but it was a struggle in the end to keep them from killing each other! Tomorrow they are staying with MIL!!

Put 4lbs on at fat class  Xx

I can't say I am a big fan of moths, but I like butterflies. Does that make me shallow? I like the pretty coloured ones who come out in the day?! Mainly my issue with moths is them decamping to my bedroom whenever I have the light on and a window open at the same time. I went to bed the other night, turned the light off and a few minutes later had this weird buzzing near my ear. I thought it was a mosquito, so got up full of rage after flicking at my face in the dark... Turned the light on and there was a monster moth casually walking across my pillow. I died a bit inside. I didn't realise they had so many other things to look at there! Sounds good :)

As for DS2 and his adorable hair, I always thinks it looks brilliant on little kids, and tragic after the age of about 13, whether you're male or female. I speak from bitter experience though, of being called UFO head at school before straighteners were mainstream... :/

Painting sounds mad! WIll be shifting those pounds in this heat, even if it is only in sweat :rotfl:
