    Hi Lucky, :hello:

Another one just catching up.. Wow you have such a busy life!

Do either of your boys attend Beavers?
If not, you truly deserve Brizzled's new nickname for you! :T

No Robin, neither of mine are in Beavers as it's for ages 6-8. DS1 is almost 10 and DS2 is still only 4. Xx

Hi Lucky, well done on the MBNA cleared balance. And on your continued weight loss.

I am not sure of credit card any more. You are right it is a slippery slope.

DS2 has now officially left nursery as today was his last day. DS1 finishes tomorrow and then he will have left First School for good, sob! It's cost me around £25 in presents for 2 Teachers, 3 class room assistants and the school Secretary (who is very helpful with sorting out free school meals stuff etc so I bought her a wee pot plant). I think it was money well spent though as they have both had wonderful teachers and a great time this year. Sooo looking forward to the holidays though, it's my favourite time of the year having us all off together.

Tonight I've been Den Building and Fire Making with the Beavers. Great fun but again I'm blinking chuffed that now means I'm off for the Summer :T. I did get a lovely B@ylis and H@rding gift set from one of the boys who is moving up to Cubs though. Had to laugh as it's called 'Beauty Sleep'. I could do with some of that :rotfl:.

DH is craving sugar. Not normally a good sign .

Got a letter from Tax Credits today querying the amount I earned last year after filling in my tax return online a while ago. It's very low I admit, but surely the tax office tallies up. Will fill in the form and send a copy of my P60 to prove I earned a whopping £1k last year!!

  • It's the summer holidays :j. DS1 left primary school yesterday and we all went out for a meal as a year group last night. I left DH and DS2 with MIL and it was nice to spend time with just DS1 and his pals. Earlier in the day I'd gone to soft play with DS2 and his friends too, so a fun day all round, but quite expensive!! And shocking for the diet, I've eaten so much rubbish this week :o.

I filled in the Tax Credits form and then noticed it said I could call them with the info. I did so and it took about 2 minutes, she said they were just making sure I hadn't made a mistake with the amount. I wish!! My new award is on it's way apparently.

We seem to have avoided the thunderstorms here but today is forecast rain. Much to my delight though the forecast for Edinburgh tomorrow and Monday has now changed from rain to sun :D. Looking forward to getting work out of the way tonight and setting off in the morning :j.

I was thinking about you in Tesc0s yesterday. They have whiskas boxes of pouches on offer for 3 for £8 which alone is a great price for cat owners, but if you bought the offer you could get an adult zoo ticket with a paying kid. Not for Edinburgh zoo sadly, but it might be something you could use during the rest of the summer holidays for all of you. Redeemable upto 31st October 2014 @ participating zoos.

It also includes some places like sea life, deer centres, etc. Has to be part of the tesco offer, and needs the receipt included.
