I wish you lovely dreams Lucky and a good night's sleep
Big hugs XXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Cheers Buffy! Sleep wasn't that great as it was interrupted by DS2 having a nightmare about ants crawling all over his hands and he ended up in bed with me. While we were trying to go back to sleep he came out with;
Ds2 - "Mum, what are these blue and green lights flying around above the bed?"
Me - "What lights? I can't see any lights! I think your eyes are tired and are playing tricks on you. Why don't you close your eyes and then you wont see them?"
DS2 - "The lights are your Dad. Why are you angry with your Dad?"

Don't know what to say to that Lucky. Shivers up the spine time! Well done on losing the pound. At least you're losing weight at a steady rate and that way it should stay off.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

This morning we've been to DS1's Leavers Assembly. They did a theme of 'I'm a Year 4, Get Me Out Of Here', taking us through 'bushtucker trials' to get them through the years and get their pass out to Middle School. We saw photos on the big screen of them right from nursery and it was quite a tear jerker. Glad I took tissues!!
Late morning DH went out for a cycle ride with his paramedic friend. He thoroughly enjoyed it and I was totally relaxed about him doing it. Made a change for me to a) be in the house alone and b) not be worrying.
Made a payment to MBN@ of £30 today which clears the balance completely after moving the rest to Bcard on 0%. Will probably just close MBN@ as all other debt is 0% for at least a year and will hopefully be paid off by the time they end.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

SA I seem to be making a habit of cross posting with you sorry!
DS2 is home from nursery and he was saying his favourite colours are blue and green. Not wanting to prompt him too much I said "you were talking about blue and green in bed last night", to which he replied "yes the ants were green and blue in my dream" and then went off to play. So that's that then!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Ooooh that sent a shiver up me!! Kids and cats have one foot in this world and one foot out of it I am sure.
Are you mad at your dad? Did I miss something there?
Brill news on 'chub club' :rotfl: and how wonderful to get rid of your MBNA card. I've got a guaranteed card waiting for me with Halifax if I so want it. It's 12 months 0% on purchases. I don't know whether to go for it. Right now, I have my one MBNA and use it to buy the odd thing each month then it gets paid off in full the following month. But I put my BT Line rental on it last night and thats £160 coming out of next month! Times like that I wish I could split it... What do you think? Slippery slope and just learn to budget for big payments?! :eek: lol.
Hugs @ u. SO glad DH was ok; coincidence (I think not) that the 2 times he has had waves of fear and avoided a seizure overnight, he has been a monster the following day?

My Dad was an alcoholic Lilt. He put me through hell for a few years before he died and I tried everything to help him but it just wasn't enough. For almost 8 years since he died I've been annoyed with him for the whole situation as it was just such a waste of life. I saw a spiritualist quite recently and she gave me a message from Dad. He basically said sorry and that he couldn't see it at the time but I did more than I ever should have to help him, and he wished he'd let me as he paid the ultimate price. He said thank you and it lifted a massive weight from my shoulders, but although I've forgiven him I'm still mad at the whole thing.
I think credit cards can have their uses and it's a personal choice dependent on how and why you'd use it. Personally, I will never have another card as it's a slippery slope. However, my MIL uses one to get points on her spending, clears it in full each month and cashes in because of it, so it can work successfully for some people. Usually those who don't NEED one!!!
You are spot on about DH. It all goes hand in hand XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
