So glad you're feeling a wee bit better now. Buffy's right, you've got so many things going on, it's more surprising that you don't feel down more often.

I loved the quote in Buffy's signature "life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change".

Cheered myself up by watching Jessie Pavelka in Obese: A Year to Save my Life. Not only did it spur me on with the dieting, but well, you can't help but smile at Jessie! Xx

  • Feeling a little brighter today despite another rubbish sleep (DH was very jerky last night, he over did things yesterday and I thought a seizure was likely).

Today is the last day that the boys are off school. It's forecast rain but seems quite bright so I think we are going to head to a park and see how we get on. A new Lidl has opened up so might give that a try too, as most of the things we need are generic, like fruit etc.

  • Hi PLMBL.

Pleased to read you have booked to go to Edinburgh, on of my fav places and always loads for kids to do.
I havn't stopped in a travelodge for a couple of years but from what I remember they do have kettles in the room , I'm sure we took Hot chocolate and croissants and had breakfast in the room the kids thought it was great, cereal bars, fruit and small cartons of juice would also be a good idea and save you some money.

Hope you have a good day.x.
  • Cheers penny, some good ideas there! Tr@velodge have had a massive revamp so I'd hope there is a kettle in the room at least!!

Had a lovely day today. Went to Saltwell park, played in the actual play park, had a good walk around and made friends with the squirrels. They were so tame! DS1 was desperate to bring one home (we didn't, obviously!).

Got some decent fruit/veg type bargains in Lidl but a bit disappointed that they didn't do some more basic stuff, like chilli flakes for example. Will go back from time to time though.

I love Saltwell Park too. We were up there last week.

Lidl is always disappointing for me. I always have to go somewhere else too but can do a complete shop at Aldi now. AND I got 50p back with click snap.

Lidl is good for some things but I find A one better for fruit, veg and meat!

Sounds like you have a lovely trip in mind, you truly deserve it x
