  • Cheers Beanie! DH likes his coffee so he'll be thrilled to hear there is a kettle! So will my purse :rotfl:

Pooh, Saltwell park is great isn't it? Shame we weren't there at the same time!

Sparky, I think I'm spoilt by getting 10% staff discount at Mr A's. The discount stores don't seem so bargainous when I already get things cheaper! I do like variety though, and I shop at Mr T's, Mr M's and Mr Al's too :o. Mr L can join that list on occasions :rotfl:.

Well, last night was awful. DS2 woke up coughing an spluttering just as we were going to bed. He said he felt sick and started wailing so loud he woke DS1 up too. DS2 was begging to sleep with me so DH offered to sleep in DS2's bed. I said I didn't like him sleeping alone incase of seizure, so DS1 offered to sleep on the floor of his brother's room so he could keep an eye on his Dad :A.
DS2 proceeded to thrash around all night, kicking me repeatedly and grinding his teeth! He wasn't sick, but I felt sick when it was time to get up this morning as I'd barely slept at all. Fed up of feeling more tired in the mornings than I did when I went to bed (Mrs Hinge, I don't know how you do it :A).

Got up, and discovered the cat had been sick on the new carpet AGAIN. Carpet has only been down 3 weeks and she's puked on it twice :(. DH is, as you'd expect, taking that personally!!!

Kids went back to school today so we got a few jobs done that had been piling up. DH got weighed at B00ts and lost 3lbs despite eating cakes and cookies.

I went to get weighed tonight and despite being very good and having NO CAKES OR COOKIES I gained half a pound!!! How is that fair?!?! Really thought I'd done enough to get my 3 stone award and gutted I had a gain. Bloody hormones!

  • I hope you are right Beanie! The gain has made me feel wobbly in my determination and that's the last thing I want. Back to the gym this morning though and I shall just plough on!

3 years today since DH's accident .

But everyone slept through all night :j.

First enhanced payment of DH's Support Group ESS arrived in the bank today, and it is indeed just a few pennies short of £60 more for the fortnight :D. That will really help.

congrats on the great news about more income! just what you need.

I know you can do it. Sometimes I feel when I have been really good and dont drop that half or so that it comes off the next week. fingers crossed that is true for you!!

Ps 3 years. Great to have another year pass since that awful day x

  • Sorry the Lucky household is sleep deprived and how dare the cat puke on your lovely, new carpet!

Maybe you can split your increased income (extra expenses notwithstanding): Perhaps, one-third to debt; one-third to savings and one-third to treats - or how ever you want.

Whilst its not a great anniversary to have, at least its not another type of anniversary - IYKWIM.

    Take care.
  • I must go back to Saltwell Park Lucky, might have a scoot there next weekend.

Things are looking up, more money is the way to go :)
    Trying to shift that debt!

I hope it will come off in a big chunk next week! I ran on the treadmill for a whole 6 and a half minutes today - that's a Personal Best :rotfl:.

The cat is on borrowed time as far as DH is concerned . In a bid to eradicate some of the annoyances he has with her, I've spent £15 on a new litter tray with a hood so hopefully she won't spill as much litter in the utility room. Whether or not she'll actually use it though is a different matter ......

I will definitely look at doing something with the extra income as you suggest.

And yes, I'm VERY aware that today could be the 3rd anniversary of his death!!!!

You should definitely head to Saltwell SBO. The squirrels are abundant in the rose garden bit Xx
