Cheers MiT and Buffy. Think it was a lesson learned for his Mum!
Yesterday afternoon we had a lovely time in a friend's garden, celebrating her Grandson's first birthday! It wasn't sunny but it was just warm enough, and the kids had a lovely time playing football. Then my Mum looked after the boys for a few hours while I was at work. MiL was going out last night but she stayed with DH for the first couple of hours and then left him watching a film until I got back. It worked out quite well.
Today DH is with his best mate for a few hours and the boys and I are just chilling at home until he gets back. We might do some baking but I want to get DS2's room ready for painting this week. It's still very much a nursery and it wont take much to make it a big boy's room. I think at 4, it's about time he had that!! The weather isn't great here today but if it picks up we might go somewhere this afternoon XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Well I haven't been across the door today! DH didn't get back until after 3pm and has gone out again tonight! His best mate said he'd stand him a coke at the local pub and even though DH was worried about going I made him
. It's been a NSD so far today, but DH went out with a bit of money just in case, so I'll not confirm it untilI know what he comes home with.
Think it's been beneficial to both of us to have a bit of time apart today. I've enjoyed being able to just crack on with some jobs and having time with the boys and DH always enjoys time with his best mate. Win win.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Mr Lucky is home safe, having had an enjoyable evening and not spent a penny :T. My NSD is confirmed and he has got a lot of positives from spending time 'in the real world'

Great that Mr. Lucky had a night out - maybe it can be a regular event with him and his friend.
Sounds like a bit of time apart won't hurt you either.0 -
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Buffy, JAT and MiT thank you! Mate is a great bloke and we'd be lost without him. DH has been borderline hyper (childlike!) this morning and excited because another friend had also gone out and he'd been telling DH how improved he thinks he is. This is both a good thing (because it's nice to hear) and a bad thing (because this bloke hasn't seen much of DH since just after the accident and yes of course he is improved since he had just stotted his head off the road!). I made sure that DH knew I was pleased that he'd been told this, but also tried to be the voice of reason and point out that they were seeing him on a good day. No one sees him at his worst except his Mum and I. Hopefully I struck the right balance and DH didn't think I was just been negative or peeing in his handbag!
Chev, thank you kindly for that link! I have registered and will do my best to make use of it.
Today we have been to the park and on a walk to feed the ducks which was very enjoyable. I played football with the boys and ran races with DS1. Definitely getting fitter :T. Unfortunately it wasn't a NSD because we needed cat litter, but I'm pleased that the Bank Holiday hasn't impacted on our finances as it were.
