Hi hon  just catching up....wow. You're doing brilliantly in the face of a pretty terrifying set of circumstances. Horrible with OH having seizures and no real pattern or trigger...I am so glad you got the boys off for a sleepover and do see what you can do re respite. Asking for help costs nothing and helps to underline the pressure your family is under, all the time :grouphug:

Lovely to hear that you had a great Easter hols with your kids though...must seem a long time ago now!

You're doing so well and like beanie says...give yourself a break about what you eat at the moment..you are the engine for your family and an engine needs fuel x

  • There's fuel though brizzle, and then there's a tonne of unnecessary carp :rotfl:.

Did some damage limitation at the gym this morning. I'm so stiff I can hardly move now :o. Spent the afternoon chasing things up with the Epilepsy nurse and the MP. Work programme people still haven't responded to us or the MP, and we have to see them for a routine appointment tomorrow . I was so hoping that we'd never have to go back again, yet nothing has changed since the last appointment with them. We are still fighting the Support Group appeal, they haven't bothered to try to rectify any problems and if anything DH is worse than the last time they decided he was too ill to be on their programme. Tomorrow is going to be such fun, NOT!

Beavers tonight, though I realised this afternoon that we aren't on next week as it's a Bank Holiday, then back for 2 weeks before being off again for another 2 weeks due to another Bank Hol and half term!! People will be calling me a part-timer at this rate!!! (:j).

Saved £4.83 today also by paying my T@lkT@lk bill immediately rather than allowing the direct debit to come out next week. 15% is better in my pocket not theirs!!

Think that's enough waffle for tonight, I need an early night before I seize up (no pun intended) on the sofa! Xx

  • Appointment with the work programme provider was fine today, based on the fact that it was yet another new advisor and not the one we have complained about. New advisor (number 6!!) was lovely, but I think she had been dumped on without being told about the ongoing situation. We are no further forward with the complaint as it wasn't the right person to discuss it with.

This afternoon I had to go to Mum's to wait while a guy tried to fix her boiler while she was at work. It's "geet proper broken" though so she needs a whole new one.

Fat class tonight and I stayed the same :T:j:T:j.

  • It's such a shame Brizzle that DWP get a bad rap through stuff like this, because without them we'd be screwed, and it's a great system for those in need. That said, if their @r$€ knew what their elbow was doing, it'd be better for everyone!

Busy wee day today including a hard gym session (getting my arms and legs out in the sunny summer weather is getting ever closer so I'm in panic mode!!) and booking a holiday for MiL and her friend. I saved them £135 each by shopping around and got £60 cashback for them. Just wish it was my money, or at least it was me going on holiday!!

I did, however, recieve my £40 cheque today from F1rst Ut1l1ty so that will be banked tomorrow.

I've managed ZERO NSD's in April :o. I blame the kids being off for almost 3 weeks over Easter!! Will try harder in May!

  • Quieter day today which isn't a bad thing after a pretty rubbish night. Between DS1 and DS2 being up and down like Jack-in-the-boxes and DH been very jerky in his sleep, I think I managed about 3 hours sleep! Off to bed soon.

Got a letter from the Work Programme provider today and thought oooh, finally they are acknowledging our complaint. No! They'd just like to advise us that DH is nearing the end of his 2 years on programme so they are kicking him back to the Job Centre!! It also advised that they have prepared a report for the JC and if we want a copy we were to ring up and ask. I did just that as I don't trust them one bit and they said it would be emailed to us today. Of course it hasn't been .

Just made it with £17 to spare after all the bills went out today. Payday tomorrow though so not as bad as it seems! I know I've been stretching things to pay off Bcard before the 0% runs out, but I got a bit worried about how close to the wire it was today. I've also noticed that our shopping bills have risen again, so I shall concentrate on that this week and beyond.

Sis came for tea tonight, haven't seen her for a couple of weeks so it was good to catch up. She also brought me some perfume that she never uses so it was a good trade!

Hello Lucky just catching up with you. Sorry to hear Mr Lucky has had more seizures and also that you're still not sorted with DWP. Hope you manage to get some rest this weekend for once.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
