Evening all
.
SA good to have you back and glad you enjoyed your holiday Xx
mummy, the whole Work Programme thing ending means that DH will have to have his monthly (or more regular) meetings back at the Job Centre, who are more work focussed. We got the report today (after chasing it again!) and whilst it's fundamentally ok in that it says nothing negative about DH's attendance etc on the programme, it says things like 'Mr Lucky will have to make a high number of job applications to maximise his chances of gaining employment'. I mean, what????!!!! They have not looked at finding work for him once in the last 2 years, mainly because it's obvious he is not at that stage yet, so why have they put something like that in the report? It's a cut and paste ticky box excuse for a report!! Just praying he gets through the appeal and put in the Support Group and then it's all not worth worrying about. On a more positive note, we saw the GP this afternoon and she has offered to help with the appeal if needs be. I knew she would, but it's lovely to have had it confirmed.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. I'd suggest asking for a meeting with your MP at his/her next surgery so that he/she can meet Mr Lucky. Supply your MP with a copy of the "report" ahead of your meeting, and any other reports you have available. That way, the MP can tell Job Centre bods just how ridiculous they are all being, and that Mr Lucky isn't a suitable employee candidate. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Oh Lucky I'm sure Mr Lucky (just like Mr SA) would love to be able to go back to work but in all honesty how could he be a suitable employee in his condition? I doubt anyone would employ him anyway so what a waste of time going through the motions. It's ridiculous. Hope it gets sorted ASAP.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Morning
Just catching up with everyone. I was reading up about coconut oil yesterday after someone recommended it to me and I thought of Mr Lucky, I'm not sure if you use it already or not but it's good for memory loss, unsure if it would help or not but thought it would be worth mentioning to you. I have ordered some from Am@zon as I thought it was worth a shot (my memory is awful) and you can use it for all sorts of things including replacement of usual cooking oils and butter.
Hope you have a lovely weekend xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thank you so much for your help everyone. I will take your advice and approach the MP with the report etc. I've also been looking up when we first enrolled with the Work Programme provider, and it was 17th July 2012. That means they have kicked DH out 3 months early! Not that we want to see them again, but 21 months 'help and support' is not 2 years is it?! It's obvious it was just a way to get rid of us and continue to ignore the complaint.
DF(w), thank you for thinking of us re the coconut oil. I'd not heard of that before so I will look in to it.
This morning MiL took DH to do an organised 5k parkrun. He's done it a few times recently with one of the Dads from school (who is a paramedic so I've been more than happy to let DH go with him). The guy is working today though so MiL said she'd take him, let him do the run with all the other people and then meet him at the finishing line. Sounds like a plan eh? What could go wrong?
Except DH got lost!! He took a wrong turn (though not sure how) and thankfully found his way back after 1.5k of running in the wrong fields . MiL was panicked, DH was panicked/annoyed with himself/disappointed and I'm just relieved no one told me anything about it until he was found again!!!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oh well, the extra exercise will do him good.......? God I am so impressed he can run the 5km. I can't! and then 6.5 impressed from a sofa potato like me
Am glad no one told you Lucks, the less worry you have the better!
A lot of people in a group I belong to on FB talk about coconut oil like it is the second coming so I might have a look too.
Really hope you have a lovely peaceful Sunday and Monday and that you are not at work!
