Hi Lucky - get the poles and carpet - you already pay plenty off debt. Carpet Right are good for cheap carpets - it wouldn't cost much for a cheap bedroom carpet and it would cheer your room up no end! We got our stair carpet from them and we didn't pay a lot for it but it looks great.
Here's hoping Christmas is a good one in the Lucky household!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

I agree it's good to pay it forward xxx
If it wasn't for my wonderful family I would have been reliant on the food banks on more than one occasion in the last 2 years. I wanted to help those that aren't as fortunate as me in that respect.
DH spent the morning with MiL as she had the Sky engineer coming out to fix a problem she's been having, and she wanted DH to be with her. After lunch we braved the madness of Mr T's as we ran out of dishwasher tablets  and then this afternoon we snuggled up to watch movies. It was the first time I've seen Nativity and I loved it. We also watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on dvd as it's on tv tonight and the boys wanted to watch it but it finishes too late.
Didn't think it all through though as we are probably going to go to the cinema tomorrow to see Frozen. Movie overload and square eyes all round!!
A year tomorrow since DS1 called the ambulance when DH had his seizure while I was at work . Hopefully this year will be less dramatic!! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oh NUTs.
How annoying! Am swearing on your behalf about the timing.

Isn't it just typical - whenever some extra money comes your way you can guarantee something will need replacing to take that extra money back off you! It happens to me every time! Very annoying!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It's always the way SA! Trying to look at it positively in that at least the money will be there for tyres and I don't have to 'find' it. Cheers for the swearwords buffy! It's hard to use them myself with the kiddywinkles around
.
Granny, Frozen was fab! I started to worry part way through that it was a bit girly and romantic for the boys, but I needn't have as they loved it! The second half was very funny and a bit more macho anyway. DH shed a few tears!! He is quite emotional today but unfortunately that has just changed to wound up and angry. I don't think it helped that he offered to get the tickets at the cinema and I didn't hide my disappointment very well that he bought 2 adult and 2 children tickets instead of a family ticket, which would have cost £4 less. His Mum has wound him up this afternoon too.
Getting weighed tonight as class has been moved from tomorrow because no-one would want to get weighed on Christmas Eve. It will be the same next week for New Years Eve. Not looking forward to it as much as I usually am though. I *may* have eaten a couple of Krispy Kreme doughnuts this weekDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Pay it forward indeed! Well done! I think some people forget that they have been helped out by others, love that you are giving back!
That is a shame re tyers, my mum and dad hired a professional carpet cleaner years ago and it was AMAZING. The carpet that was a dull navy blue came up looking like a brand new royal blue carpet. If you cannot afford both tyers and new carpet it could be a short term solution?
I think then it was £60 to hire for a weekend and they split it with my sister or neighbour or something so it only cost £30 and they both used it.
Had to laugh at the £4 cinema ticket. My OH is like that aswell and I get really annoyed at these things, he is terrible for getting petrol and NOT getting the tesco points. I no longer look disappointed with him, I now look FUMING that he has done it again!

Thanks for that BW I appreciate the idea, but to be honest I feel that cleaning the carpet would just be throwing good money after bad. It's not necessarily the cleanliness of it as we've used MiL's v@x on it a few times, it's things like when I was ironing and the cat jumped up on the board and knocked the iron off, causing a big iron shaped singe in the carpet (and a new iron!). Or when the cat got locked in the room accidently and tried to dig her way out through the carpet so it's threadbare around the door. Listing those things, I can see why DH doesn't like the cat :rotfl:. Apart from that, since we decorated the carpet doesn't really match anymore Xx
Stayed the same weight last night which I was ok with. DH was wound up like a coiled spring by the time I collected him and the boys from MiL afterwards. We then visited his best friend with Christmas gifts and by the time we got home it was almost 9pm. Thought a late night for DS2 would mean a lie in this morning but he was up at 5.30am . DH had a fairly early night too and seems ok today.
So today we are off to softplay to meet my Auntie and my cousin's boy (cousin is at work). Hopefully it will get rid of some of the hyperness in my boys. I've already had to make a pretend phonecall to Santa to say I'm not sure DS2 deserves any presents after his temper tantrums this morning. Santa suggested that I leave a note out tonight saying how DS2 has been for the rest of today as he and the elves are too busy to watch him.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
