You are amazing. Take a bow and then chill xxxx

Honey I pale into insignificance next to you. Xx

Can't sleep despite being tired. Probably doesn't help being online but sick of lying here waiting for nonexistant sleep. Been in bed since 10pm and think I've managed about an hours sleep.

Tomorrow (today) is DS2's first ever Christmas play in the morning followed by DS1's last primary school performance in the afternoon. Hankies at the ready :o.

    Oh that sounds truly wonderful.

I have choir practice tomorrow evening. Absolutely torn whether or not to go but I know I'll howl like a banshee once we get to Away in a Manger and suchlike.

I don't want to make a fool of myself and have to tell the lovely ladies what's happening ( not at Christmas) but grandad would like to go to the short concert on Sunday.

    I'd appreciate any thoughts xx

  • KJ you are so lovely putting everyone else first. Not wanting to spoil other people's Christmases and doing what Grandad wants to do are very selfless acts, but I think it's time for you to be selfISH. What would make YOU happy? Xx

I love the choir and really enjoy singing. I am afraid I'll choke up though - I've become very woodsy post SB and certain bits of music set me off.

How about I do the rehearsal (assuming I'm ok), warn the leader about Sunday (so she's not left short) and take it from there.

I don't consider myself at all a "giver". Ex's all said I'm "me,me,me", mother always said I was selfish. I don't seem to see the nice person you do or maybe I paint a nicer picture on here :o

  • I think that's a good plan KJ and I'm sure that singing is good for you I always feel better after singing along to the radio!

I think those closest to us always see us in a different light and from what I have seen on here over the last few years you seem a giver to me! Xx

Plmbl enjoy the plays! I've got one in a couple of hours xx

  • Hi lucky :hello:

Well done on the debt busting! It's amazing how much you've paid off in such a short space of time. Be proud of yourselves :D

Hope the christmas plays go well today. I'd be the same with the hankies too! I am such a sap!! :o lol

Hi KJ! I would agree with your plan. I know what you mean though - certain songs make you choke up and you feel like you haven't a mission of finishing! But you will find the strength inside you :)

  • KJ I agree with everything said above and hopefully you went to choir practice tonight and enjoyed it. I particularly agree with DFW that you come across as a "giver" and truly wonderful person on here. And let's face it, Ex is a twonk anyway!!! What would he know?? :p

Plays today were both lovely and I managed not to cry! There is nothing cuter than a bunch of 3/4/5 year olds on stage though, and I loved all the singing and little actions. I enjoyed DS1's in a "how did my baby get to be so grown up:eek:??" kinda way. Back to watch DS2's performance again in the morning and then DH and MiL are watching DS1's second performance tomorrow night. Then it's all done for another year.

Got weighed tonight and I've lost another pound. Also gained £5 by winning the raffle :T
