Couple of days to catch up on!
DS2 and DH were both well again by Thursday thank goodness. I met a couple of friends for coffee in the morning, and it was lovely to be out and have good company. I almost felt normal! Thursday afternoon we took a trip to Ike@, as I've had my eye on some sets of drawers in the catalogue for our bedroom, for £35 each (we need 2). As MiL had paid for the blinds, I thought I'd use the money I'd been trying to save for those to pay for them. When we got there we both agreed that the bigger ones for £45 each were more suitable, and then bought glass tops for both at another £10 each, so a total spend of £110. Oops. We put them together yesterday though and it transforms the room. I will put my Christmas money towards it if we struggle due to the overspend. DH of course wants to put his Christmas money towards getting his tattoo sorted .
Thursday evening we all went shopping as I wanted to try to find some black trainers that looked like shoes for work. My boss had said I couldn't wear the shoes I've got for work (ballet style, closed toe but top of foot exposed) for H&S reasons incase I drop a knife etc. To be honest they hurt my feet anyway so it was the kick I needed to change them. Didn't find anything suitable though, will have to keep looking. Still wore my old ones last night and my boss wasn't bothered!
While we were shopping I went into New L00k to complain about my coat again. This is the second one I've had in as many months after they replaced the last one due to faulty buttons. The second coat has come away at the seams on the shoulder and in the pocket. If the coat was older I would've stitched it, but no way was I doing that after a month! Anyway, they gave me a full refund of £40. As luck would have it, last Saturday my Auntie gave me a coat that has only been worn once and I actually prefer it to mine, so I now have a new coat AND £40 to spend on something else :T.
Yesterday was spent clearing out the old chests of drawers and building the new ones. Got rid of a load of stuff and sorted things for the loft. Felt really close to my Dad as I found things that were his and lots of photos of him. I know this would have happened regardless of when we cleared the drawers out, but today is 7 years since he died and it felt like a sign he was around me. If MiL hadn't paid for blinds then who knows when we would have afforded the drawers and got round to emptying them. It definitely felt 'arranged' if that makes any sense?!
Work last night wasn't too bad in terms of amount of customers. Think people must've been out for Christmas parties etc. Heard some bad news though, one of the women I work with found her 33 year old son dead in bed last weekend. He'd been out for his birthday and they think he choked on his own vomit. Devastated for her and it gave me massive perspective that no matter how bad things can feel, at least I'm not facing something like that.
Yesterday would have been a NSD but DH asked me to make him a pizza at work and buy him cream cakes! Fantastic diet he's on eh?! :cool:Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Yay to the debt reduction. I thought it was the same as mine then realised I owe 10 times what you do. But still celebrating mine too.
Horrible thing to happen to your workmate's son. We have to count our blessings don't we?
You are encouraging me to start my diet again. It is just so difficult to get to a class from here.
Hugs for sorting out your dad's stuff. I understand fully as we are still coming across boxes from my dad's. I agree it makes you feel closer.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
