Lucky sounds like you and me both have been throwing a bit of a wobbly! Sometimes it's just got to be done and then you can pick yourself up and get going again! Hopefully a good weight loss result will put that smile back on your face!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Must be something in the air SA! I thought I was feeling a bit brighter today but DH has started calling me 'Hufflepuff' because apparently I keep huffing, puffing and sighing!! I hadn't realised I was doing it but I must be if DH has not only noticed but has remembered I keep doing it:o.
I feel like we are spending too much money at the minute. Today's spends
70p for DH to get weighed (he lost another pound despite a big weekend blowout!! I've been good again so will be devastated if I don't lose weight again).
£5 on a half price Lizard costume for DS2.
99p on a birthday card. Still need one that says 'Gran' as they didn't have any in the cheap card shop.
£30 on MIL's birthday gift and part of Sister's Christmas gift.
£20 diesel.
£11.97 in the farm shop on eggs and pumpkins .
So some essential spends but some frivolous spending too. I've taken £20 out of the Christmas pot as I bought some things the other week too and hoped to just manage the budget whilst leaving the pot alone. I've left myself a bit short with it being half term though so I've taken the £20. Hoping this will do, however I can take more if needs be as I've actually spent £45 on Christmas so far. The boys want to see Thor at the cinema this week so will see if I can stretch to that. MiL has invited us out for tea for her birthday tomorrow so it depends on how much that costs as to what we have left. Last year she paid for her own birthday meal for all of us, but I don't want to assume she will this time.
Car tax is also due at the end of November. Sigh. See, I did it again . XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Frivolous??? Hardly!! Give yourself a break honey.
Very pleased OH said that to you.. V nice to say. And he's right! Your friends in the box agree!
Don't worry all..none of the presents will go back to their original donors..it's just they are 'extras' I bought in previous years and forgot about and one gift set from MIL ( a candle and toiletries set ironically!) that I just won't use. I am drowning in toiletries as it is! And it's too heavy to put on Ebay and post ..
Just waiting for a cuppa from OH..blissI like this not working lark

All of your spends are necessary. I can't see anything frivolous on your list of spends.
I spent £8.60 yesterday on tea and cake for DS3 and me. That is frivolous. Feels a bit like 'confession' time.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hi Lucky, :hello:
Not sure about that candle (one of the strangest things I've ever tasted was somebody's home-brewed licorice-flavoured beer. Palatable - but, weird).
As for frivolous spends - yes to the cost of pumpkins [mental note - get seeds so kids can grow their own next year?] and why does DH have to pay to get weighed?
Thanks for noting that you've got up-coming car tax to pay - reminded me that m' vehicle insurance should have been renewed four days ago! :cool:0 -
Thanks for the positivity everyone
.
The pumpkins were £2.99 for the extra large ones (we got 2) and 89p for the little cute one that DS2 wanted to carve. To me that's frivolous when we are watching the pennies, however the carving will provide great entertainment and we aren't hosting our usual Halloween party this year because we can't afford it. At least we are doing something Halloweeny! The £5 for the lizard costume was also somewhat unnecessary as DS2 already has a gazillion costumes and didn't NEED it, but he's been asking for it for weeks at £10 and I've always said no. £5 didn't seem too bad for it.
Robin, DH gets weighed at B00ts because I'm too obsessive to have scales in the house! 70p instead of £4.95 at fat class seems a bargain.
Ok, some good news! I lost 3lbs last night :j And I've made £40 sales today :j. Although it's still my aim to make the £77 to pay off LTSB, today's cash is more likely to be used this half term. Will see if I can save even just a little of it.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
