Aww no, Lucky! Maybe loads will come off next week. It's very frustrating when you put in a lot of effort and don't see results.

I hope you have a positive meeting tomorrow with the consultant. Sending good vibes.

I would say that considering the trauma your poor body has been through lately, it's perfectly acceptable to stay the same atm. I know you are frustrated and totally understand but have no doubt once you get your iron levels etc sorted out, everything else will follow suit.

Good luck tomorrow, hope he has some news for you

  • Thanks everyone! It's just disheartening to not get rewarded for sticking to the plan and being good. Hoping to get lots out of the meeting with the consultant tomorrow. I want to know the outcome of the tests on the twins, possible reasons I haven't had a period for 9 weeks, possible reasons I'm not losing weight and any tests they may do on DH and I. I don't know if we will ever try for a baby again but at least I'll know what the score is.

Just watched the James Cracknell documentary on ITV4. It's amazing how similar he and DH were before the accident nevermind after. He and his wife seem mirror images of DH and I. Scary stuff but also comforting to know others are getting through the same Xx

  • Called in to say hi! :D

Well done on letting DS1 out of your sight! Little steps at a time will be good. And it'll help you too if you can trust him to do that. Although with 'fights' your punishments should then be not to let him go on his own ;)

What makes you think you didn't lose weight? Maybe you put on 2lb and lost it again?!?! ;):rotfl::D

Glad you've got your iron tablets. As granny says, everything else should follow suit :)

  • Thanks everyone! HAW I wouldn't mind if I'd eaten anything good enough to gain 2lbs!! I've been an angel! DF(W), thanks for that. Hopefully you are right, but I'm just wanting to lose 9lbs this week to make up for the last 2 weeks not making my 3lbs target :rotfl:.

Been to see the Consultant Gynaecologist. No chromosomal abnormalities have been found during the testing of my twins. The placenta contained the right hormones from me too so basically it's just been put down to a 3rd bout of bad luck. They did take more bloods from me today though to rule out Antiphospholipid syndrome. I'll get the results of that by letter and only have follow up if it's positive. If I do get pregnant again though I will have lots of extra scans and support. As much as it pains me, I don't think we will try again.
He didn't seem worried that I haven't got AF yet, but said I can ask the GP for some medication that will force it and hopefully kick start my cycle again. I will have a think about that one but will probably wait a bit longer.

Went to see Grandma in hospital after my appointment. She wasn't too good today :(.

    Hope everyone is ok Xx
