badger!! That takes me back, I used to love the Care Bears when I was little!!
Well I am now officially on holiday. Last day of term for me today and I'm off for 7 glorious weeks!! (Let's forget about job 2 for the minute!). I was a lucky girl and got lots of lovely presents and cards bless them.
DS2 had his little kickers football this afternoon and then we had to take a trip to the tile place after we picked DS1 up from school as a whole box of tiles were smashed when we opened them . They replaced them no problem though thank goodness. Bathroom is still not finished but it's getting closer!
Had a chinese takeaway for tea to celebrate end of term. It was lush! Trying not to dwell on the £15 it cost!

Certainly was.
Today has been a very spendy day. Another £123 (yes really :rotfl:) spent on things for the bathroom, including a folding shower screen, more tile grout, sealant and a window blind. Unfortunately the blind will have to go back though as it's not big enough (which we did think in the shop but decided to try it anway). As at the moment though the bathroom total now stands at £1219, including the blind.
Apart from that I've had a nice chilled out day pottering on getting a few jobs done. I'm off from job 2 tonight as well as they need me more tomorrow night. Boys are off to bed in a minute so it's a nice relaxing evening of MSE and 50 shades.

Didn't manage to post yesterday but it was a normal saturday routine of dropping DS1 at his gymnastics and then meeting my Grandma and Auntie for coffee (Mum on holiday at the minute - her 2nd so far this year - must be nice!!). Grandma gave me yet another £10. I did try to say no as this diary has made me realise just how much she has given me bless her, but she wouldn't hear of it.
. I then did a shift at job 2 which amazingly for a saturday was slow and boring and really dragged. By the time I got home I just wanted my tea and my bed. Did manage to finish 50 shades book 2 though
.
DS1 and I also compiled a list yesterday of things to do over the holidays and today he was given free rein to choose something. He opted for crazy golf so off we went to a dinosaur themed place near the coast. We've been a few times and the boys love the fact that the dinosaurs spray you with water if you get the balls in a certain place at some of the holes. DS2 got soaked!! And loved it.
We then took the blind back from friday and changed it for the bigger one and got a few more bits and bobs. Another £10 added to the bathroom total.
Going to get my finger out and do some ebay listing shortly and then catch up on the diaries and some competitions. Will try to have an early night though as I'm constantly shattered. Still not feeling 100% if I'm honest but wont dwell on that.
Hope everyone has had a great Sunday XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Had a really lovely day so far today. We've been to the beach
, had fish and chips for lunch (will regret that when I get weighed tomorrow!) and been to the park
near the beach which has a water park as part of it
. The kids have had a fabulous time and apart from a couple of grouchy moments, DH has too. I had a bit of an epiphony on the beach as I sat on the sand in the sun, watching DH and the boys playing, and I realised I AM lucky. I may have had some bad things happen, we may be in debt and not at all rich, and DH still has a long road to recovery, but we are all still here and I feel very blessed.
On a side note, we moved into our house 11 years ago today. So that's just the 14 years left on the mortgage then.

Fair point well made10 years and counting for my mortgage and 20 years for my secured loan, although plan is to attack that once unsecured and mortgage are gone.

Good plan and good luck with it! I have a similar plan of paying off the unsecured debt first and then the mortgage not long after. That said, I don't see this as my forever home so will need a bigger mortgage to move. Not sure how that fits in to plans!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I also chased DH's driving licence but was told it was no further forward than it was 3 weeks ago when we rang, despite being told then that a decision would be made within 10 days. Apparently they are currently working on applications recieved on 23rd May and our was recieved the 26th.
I wasn't expecting to hear back from the DVLA but I received a letter from them saying I am allowed to drive again:j:j
Not sure when I wrote to them but I didn't need to send my licence to them so maybe that is why I have heard back so soon.
Sorry I have been away for a long time, busy with family things and no internet connection too.
I loved reading about your day on the beach. We used to go with all the children and their cousins. Lovely memories of free days out.
My DH suffers from depression and it has been a long haul. (20 years) It is great that you are being positive and counting your blessings. Once I accepted that DH wasn't a 'problem', just different life became easier.
I have to keep him busy as it seems to help, and I need to be the one who organises activities etc.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I'm hoping that this is my forever home, (unless I win the lottery of course) :rotfl:
However, if OH continues to drive me insane, it may well not be my forever home.
It is a nice house, in a nice area, new build in 2001 and large enough for me and OH with room for DGDs to stay as and when.
So, at the moment, the way things stand, I can't see me moving anywhere, well not in this country anyway and as such it doesn't really matter that it's in zero equity. I just need to ensure that I have paid off all our debts, secured and unsecured, before I retire, which I'm hoping to do in 10/12 years, if not before - again with the lottery win!!!!!
My pension will be so low I will need it for spends, so really need to be debt free by the time I collect it. Don't want to be like some of my friends, who have had to return to work after retiring due to lack of funds.
Hope you are having a good day today. Speak later.
