Hi all, nice to 'see' everyone
.
Pooh I'm sorry you are experiencing the same "fine" situation that I was. It's really not fun. Lovely that you got some time with DGD though :T, even if it did leave you shattered!
Deaf awareness and sign language learning with the beavers went down a storm! We taught them the alphabet through finger spelling so they could all do their own names, taught them to sign the whole Promise ("I promise, to do my best, to be kind and helpful, and to love God") which they picked up brilliantly, and then several key words that they asked to learn. Sis asked them if they wanted to ask her anything about being deaf, and they come up with some fantastic and thoughtful questions. My favourites however, were "Can deaf people swim?" And "Are deaf people allowed on aeroplanes?" :rotfl:. I LOVE the way kids think.
DH has continued to be very moody, but in a mainly angry way. We've had several cross words over the last 24 hours, but I honestly think it might be that I am not as tolerant as normal. I've been feeling a bit 'poor me'and every time I'm snapped at I just want to either bite back or run away. The baby would have been due next week and that has something to do with it I'm sure, but mainly I just feel fed up with everything and having to keep the balancing act going. I sat DH down today and explained all this so we will see if anything changes. Trouble is he may forget the conversation, but at least I feel better for having got it off my chest.
Moving on to better things, we all went to the cinema today! DS1 was still on his enforced day off from school due to the 48 hour rule, but there has been nothing wrong with him since Sunday night, so I threw caution to the wind and we made use of 'cheap day tuesday' to see Iron Man 3. It still cost £17  mind you, but we all loved the film and it was good to get lost in another world for a while.
Then I got weighed and I've lost 2.5lbs :j. And I collected my Fitflops from the sorting office and they are great!
Hope everyone is well XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hey PLMBL :hello:
First off, well done for getting back on the weight loss wagon, you continue to be my weight loss mentor from afar. I keep thinking if you can aim for two stones in 12 weeks then so can I!
I think teaching the Beavers sign language was a fantastic idea, not only does it really make them think about the deaf community, I'm sure the idea of a secret language really appealed to them. You'll have to watch out for them madly signing to each other at the table and such though, I'm sure me and my friends had a spell of this at primary school!
Sorry to hear you're a bit down again, but it's not surprising with everything you have had to deal with.Have some MORE dodgy hugs. :grouphug: I love going to the cinema when I'm sad, it's so nice to escape to a dark room and lose yourself in someting else. xx

Sign language is a fab idea! And yes, as Fudgefund says, you probably will notice some 'secret' signing going on across the dinner table :rotfl::D
:T for the weight loss! Well proud of youHope the FitFlops help too.
Want to go see Iron Man 3 too!! Did you see it in 3D? We're guessing we might go on Friday night so we've the option of 2D or 3D. Hopefully the girls will want to come tooAgree that it is good to 'lose' yourself for a while...

Hi P! Hope things are looking better today and well done with the weight loss. Glad you like your fitflops! Looking at your diary and when you think of all you and other women like you have to cope with and have to get on with it, it makes you wonder what would happen if it was a man in the same position. I bet they wouldn't cope. I know my OH couldn't cope if it was me in hospital instead of him. Everything would go to pot!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi Lucky. You are the weight loss queen! I have just re-joined the B00ts Di£t this week so I will be looking to you for inspiration.
It's ok to feel down now and then. I think you're a bit like me in that we like to keep positive and look on the up side. However, I'm sure a little 'poor me' time is nature's way of making sure we get the chance to think about ourselves a bit for a change.
Take care

Thanks for the dodgy hugs Fudgie, they are much needed and appreciated! I'm very honoured to be your mentor from afar and happy to help in any way I can.
HAW we saw the film in 2D, mainly due to being worried that DS2 wouldn't keep the glasses on and would make himself sick looking at a blurry screen, but also to save the extra cost. I'm sure it's fab in 3D but I was still impressed by 2D special effects. Make sure you stay in the cinema til the very end to see the bit after the credits though. It takes a while and we were starting to think there might not be anything, but we were glad we stayed in the end.
SA, there is no way DH would've coped if roles were reversed. It actually makes me nervous just thinking about what would become of everything if DH had to run the mothership . We went to see the lady who helps DH with his self confidence building today, and she was talking about ability to complete tasks like cooking for yourself, maintaining a roof over your head and managing your finances being a good way to boost self efficacy and self worth. I had to bite my lip to stop laughing. DH couldn't(wouldn't) do those things BEFORE the accident, nevermind after :rotfl:. In all fairness though, today's session was very good!
Called in to Mr T's on the way home for catfood and cereal. Spent £50.74  I really need to rein this in againDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi Fortune, sorry we cross posted. Thank you for the coronation :rotfl:. One is greatly amused. good luck with your diet too. Must admit I've never tried the B00ts one and don't know much about it.
Thank you also for your kind words. I normally put myself at the bottom of the pile (not looking for sympathy here, it's what I choose to do), but when you are always at the bottom and carrying everyone else, people accept that that's where you are and treat you as such (eg, PLMBL will be fine, she always is etc). It's easy to feel unsupported in that case, but it's up to me to ask for support and say I'm not doing too well I suppose.
It's daft things that bother me at the minute, even if I can rationalise them. For example, MIL's best friend became a Grandma for the first time through the night. Last night while the labour was in process, MIL said to me "count yourself lucky you aren't in labour tonight like X". I knew what she meant but I wanted to scream "I SHOULD BE GOING IN TO LABOUR IN A WEEK'S TIME. HOW IS IT LUCKY THAT I'M NOT???". I didn't of course and she would've been upset if I pointed it out so I said nothing and just painted on a smile instead.
God I'm a miserable so and so. Must pick myself up XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I'm so sorry to hear things have been rougher than usual. As you said, yes you're perfectly capable of taking care everything and everyone but sometimes it just nice if people would ask "do you mind" or "can I help". Even if you then say no.
And what a thoughtless comment for your MIL to come out with. Honestly. I had a flatmate years ago then when I said I was upset about hearing my sister had had a miscarriage, her response was "oh, I've had one of those - its just like a bad period". I was many miles away from family, living away from home for the first time (I'd only left two months ago), and I was feeling very homesick.
I hope you manage to get a little bit of "me" time and can relax. You deserve it.
All the best.0 -
PLMBL I read here but don't always post. Sorry to hear you are feeling down but it could be due to the "time of the year" shall we call it. I lost a baby before I was was blessed with my two and for so long it hurt when friends became pregnant, had babies etc. A mate of DH's was pregnant the same time as me (well his girlfriend was :rotfl: ) and towards the end she made such a fuss you'd think she was the first woman ever to have a baby. I just felt like shaking her and shouting "DO YOU REALISE HOW LUCKY YOU ARE TO BE SO UNCOMFORTABLE/IN PAIN/ABOUT TO HAVE A BABY?" I didn't obviously,
but it hurt me so much.
You MIL was trying to make you feel better but it's not as obvious to other people. People tend to forget dates unless of course it was you who went through it.
You will come through the 'poor me' feeling. But in the mean time, take it easy xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
