  • Oh Andrea you have lots going on at the moment too!

 to your wound. I hope it's sorted out tomorrow for you and you can enjoy the weekend pain free. All the men in my family are over 6ft tall so I expect mine to be the same as yours at 14. Bless him being such a star with your hubby :A.

I've got everything crossed for your DH on Monday Xx

  • Glad to hear things back to 'normal' (is there actually such a thing?!) again :)
fit flops... So you wear them and they make you look fit??? :rotfl:

I wish too!! If they worked like that then they would be the only footwear I'd own!! :rotfl:

Have you any plans for the weekend PLMBL?

  • Have you any plans for the weekend PLMBL?

Tomorrow we have a fundraising coffee morning/spring draw for the Beavers/Cubs/Scouts in the Village Hall. I'll be there from about 9am til we clear up after noon. Then DH's best friend's daughter (follow that if you can!!) is playing with her band at the Hexham Festival so I think we will head there afterwards if the weather holds. No plans yet for Sunday, will see what the weather is like then too.

Got the monthly LTSB statement in today but this time it contained an annual statement which made for interesting reading. In 12 months, we've paid off £9319.33 :T:j however, we've been charged £1389.81 in interest :mad:. I knew the interest was bad, but thanks to our circumstances a 0% transfer wasn't available. I didn't realise it was that much though!! We could have had a family holiday to Florida for that (or with my MSE head on, been £1389.81 less in debt!). It's spurred me on to get more paid off though!!

I got weighed today after missing my normal weigh in on Tuesday whilst at the St George's Day Parade. I've gained another 2lbs  No more takeaway pizzas for me :o.

    Hello P!

Can't believe you've paid off so much in 12 months! Impressed, especially under the circumstances. Shame about the weight gain but at least it won't cost you anything to lose those sort of pounds - if you get my drift! Hope you enjoy your weekend!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I hope the fundraiser goes well! Have a lovely weekend x

  • Fundraiser went very well :j. We are yet to do the final count up but we think it's made £600-£700! Not bad for a little village :D. The cake stall alone made £80, makes staying up til 11pm icing buns worth it :rotfl:.

We haven't made it over to the Hexham Festival. DH has gone to help MIL at the garden centre (they've been gone 2 hours so far, I suspect the coffee shop has lured them in!!), and the boys are playing with the girls next door in the bounce-a-ween :p. This means that whilst I'm enjoying the peace and quiet, I can't move from my spot by the window so I can see what they are up to! I'm therefore using my time wisely on MSE and ignoring the ironing pile :D.

Hope everyone is having a good day Xx

  • Well unfortunately the bounce-a-ween was the cause of injury yesterday :( - DS2 caught his finger in the zip of the enclosure, causing something slightly worse than a paper cut! Judging by the screaming that then ensued however, you'd be forgiven for thinking he had actually ripped the finger off!!! He ended up needing cuddled on the sofa under a blanket for hours (not complaining about that bit!!) and this morning he is still not using his hand!! I've checked it thoroughly and I'm sure there is nothing else wrong other than the scratch!! He is just a drama-king with a massive dislike of blood, but I really thought it was going to be yet another A&E visit for us yesterday.

Then, at 4am, DS1 started throwing up :( He didn't settle again until 6am and then got up at 8am and threw up again! He's currently on the sofa under a blanket looking sorry for himself. This blanket and sofa have certainly had their uses in the last 24 hours!

    Morning PLMBL,

Oh no to poor DS with his finger! He sounds like the equivalent to my DD2 shes a little drama queen and when she falls in the street you would think someone is murdering her!!!! Hope hes ok though!

And poor DS1 with the sickness :(. Hope hes feeling better soon.

    xxx

  • Thank you Mummy! DS1 has been sick once more but now says he feels like it might all be 'out' so fingers crossed he improves for the rest of the day. DS2 still insists on wrapping his hand up like it's a major wound!

Changing the subject, I just noticed I now have my 4th star :T I'm Fantastically Fervent :j.
