PG that made me laugh. My dad, when I was about 3, let me fall off a swing and lose a front tooth, so mum was rather mad at him.
Mrs Happy, don't fret about the argument, human-beans do that. Glad to hear it has brought a much needed rest for you this morning, and Mr Happy is endeavoring to reinstate your Happy state.
You run yourself ragged and then wonder why you're tired. When was the last time you went out with your female friends, no matter how near or far?
Don't think for one minute that DS2's night was about you going out. Sore tum from holding everything in was the cause. Has DS2 been drinking less than usual? More fluids will help both the wees and poos. If he's unwilling to drink more juice/water, how about soups, milk shakes, lolly ices?
Hugs xxWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
plmbl I am pleased you got your much needed lie in at last.
What you really neeed for potty training is some good weather. It is much easier with little boys when they are outside in the garden.
I would be tempted to leave things a little bit longer until he is definitely ready. Try not to get stressed about it.
Thank you for your story PG it made me laugh.
I hope you and your boys had a lovely time at the soft play this afternoon.
And I agree with what everyone else has said already on here. You are an amazing woman and should be proud of all that you achieve with your lovely family.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Aw you guys are so lovely :A It's so nice to come home from work and read all these lovely messages!
BubblyBo thank you for coming out of Lurkdom and joining us. Please stick around.
SBO I don't know about that, but thank you!!
Mrs PG thank you for the story :rotfl: Love how Mr PG thought she'd planned it
Satchmo  about your tooth! I bet your Mum was mad!! In answer to your question, I think the last time I went out with the girls was last June!! I missed the last night out due to the complications of the ERPC operation. DS2 has been eating and drinking as normal. He ended up back in nappies today, will explain in a mo.
Pooh lovely to 'see' you as always. I think you are right and I am going to leave the potty training a while longer.
So we went to softplay and ended up taking DS1's friend too. His Mum and Dad recently split up (while Mum was pregnant with their 3rd child!) and things can't be easy for her now she is on her own with 2 kids and a newborn baby. As it only cost us 90p per child there was no reason not to take him, and they all had a great time. DS2 however had still not had a wee all day and was hoping from foot to foot and holding himself in the softplay. I took him to the toilet and he wouldn't let it out despite being quite obviously desperate so I put a nappy on him. I couldn't run the risk of him hurting himself further or having an accident on the softplay. I still don't think he let it out into the nappy for a while afterwards though as he kept holding himself
Work was ok, not too busy which is normal when a Newcastle home match happens on a Thursday. I collected my payslip and will get that sent recorded delivery to DWP tomorrow - stapled to a covering letter written in very plain English :rotfl:.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Another one coming out of lurkdom. I began reading your diary when it was around the 40-50 page mark (all in a couple of days). I am in awe of how you manage everything and keep your family together. Well done you!please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I collected my payslip and will get that sent recorded delivery to DWP tomorrow - stapled to a covering letter written in very plain English :rotfl:.
If it was me, I'd be very tempted to send said covering letter back in broad 'Anglo Saxon'!
As for father's being left alone with kiddies: When I was six, my mother and sister went out for the night (not a common occurrence). Dad was left with me and my other sister. Anyway, he decided that my fringe was WAY too long and decided to trim it - with the nail sissors! Apparently there was a bit of rush in the morning as it was dreadful - extremely crooked and much higher than my eyebrows. Mum had to send my elder sister next door to borrow the neighbour's dressmaking shears to make it vaguely straight so I could go to school. The 'old boy' was never again let loose on a child's hairstyle.0 -
Wow I had no idea I had so many lurkers. I feel so popular
Hi JustAboutThere, thanks for posting. about your fringe cut though! DS1 and his friends all cut their hair once with safety scissors in nursery! The parents were NOT impressed!! Thankfully my 2 both have curly hair so it wasn't as noticeable on DS1 as it was on his straight haired friends!
Today DH had an appointment with the woman who is helping him work on his self confidence. Unfortunately, she got the time of the appointment wrong and arrived in the office half an hour late. As we'd only parked the car for an hour we managed about 15 minutes of time together and it caused more stress than good. Hopefully next time will be better.
I've been a coupon queen today and combined that with taking advantage of freebies and offers so I'm feeling a little smug. I needed a birthday present for my neighbour (the lovely older lady who is very kind to us), and I know she loves soap and glory stuff so I went to B00ts. I also thought I'd look for some cheap fake tan while I was there as we are at the wedding tomorrow and I'm wearing a dress (albeit a long one), but felt guilty about spending money on something 'frivolous'. Anyway, if you spent £10 or more on soap and Glory you got a big tub of body butter free, itself worth £10. My first thought was "oooh a freebie for me", but then I noticed S&G do a fake tan for £11 :j. So basically, I bought the fake tan with the money for my neighbour's present and I've given her the body butter
. I also used the advantage point thing to print out some vouchers and used one for £1.50's worth of extra points and one for £2 off a lipstick. I've been in need of a new lippy for ages so I got one that was on special for £3.99, but only paid £1.99 with the voucher! I then went over to Mr T's and stocked up on all the things we usually use that were half price or on bulk buy offer. I spent £42 so used a £5 off a £40 spend voucher, and a double clubcard points voucher too. I like feeling like I've come out on top
.
As mentioned, we are at the wedding tomorrow. The boys aren't invited so MIL is having them for the main part of the day and then my Mum is supposed to be having them in the evening/overnight. Unfortunately Mum has had a cold type thing most of the week, so she said on Wednesday that she'd let me know by tonight if she was up to having them. DS1 used to stay with her regularly but hasn't for the last 3 or 4 years and DS2 has never stayed over, so Mum wants to be well enough to cope if it doesn't run smoothly. DS2 stayed out for the first time ever with MIL a few weeks ago after DH's seizure and he was fine so I can't see it being a problem for her, especially as he will be sharing a bed with his brother.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Hi there PLMBL
Thanks for your support on my diary. I'm another lurker on your diary and have been amazed with how you've coped. We women seem to be good at this - we have no option but to carry on in the face of adversity.
JustAboutThere - DS cut all of DD's fringe off with a pair of plastic scissors when they were very young. He hid it under the bed! She looked horrendous and everyone kept staring at her. It took forever to grow back.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sun Adict you are more than welcome and you will cope just as well with your DH I'm sure. Keep posting and we will support you all we can XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I never knew that Soap and Glory do fake tan! Interesting! That is so lovely of you buying the neighbour a wee present!
Hope you enjoy the wedding! I love a wedding! Take notes as I get married next year and think I am missing the bridal gene so any ideas are welcomexxx

Will do bad weather! I love a wedding too but my DH is in panic mode about going already  Doesn't seem to matter that it's HIS friends wedding and he knows people better than I do! I like seeing everyone's personal touches at a wedding. When we got married I made my own bridal favours and for the women I used love heart sweets instead of the traditional sugared almonds. Seemed like a good idea at the time until I decided to only use the ones with loveydovey messages on and I then had to eat all the ones that said daft things like 'text me' and 'bad boy':p. For the men I used lucky dip lottery tickets. I bought something like £80 worth and I think one person won a tenner! I should have just given them all £1 :rotfl:.
The S&G false tan is 'streak free and easy to wash off'. I figured that was right up my street so when I'm the first person ever to make it go streaky I can wash it off again ..... :rotfl:Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I hope you have a fantastic time today at the wedding x
Congratulations on the weight loss, 21lbs in 12 weeks is amazing, especially combined with all the things you are juggling at the moment.
Please don't stress about DS, he will do it when he's ready. Keep persevering, it'll click soon enough. I'm fairly certain he won't do himself any injury by holding it in, he'll probably wet himself before that happens
Really pleased for your debt reduction, £9k is something to celebrate in my opinion, having cut £14k in 2 years, you'll be debt free in no time at all.
