..I believe it means the letter has to be dealt with by hand, rather than going through any automated process. Plus of course, far less chance of the information getting separated.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »Appointment at the Job Centre seems successful so far. The documents were both faxed and emailed over to the right team and we've since had a holding call to say it's all be received and passed over to a Team Manager to solve. Hopefully we will get the outcome we want tomorrow. What a faff! I'm calmer now thoughand it doesn't seem quite so bad as it did this morning!
Keeping fingers crossed that you get a result tomorrow.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »In other, better news - I'm in the 9's!!!!!!:j:T:j
£9985 owed to be exact! Super thrilled! It sounds so much better than the £23k we started at almost 2 years ago!

See, I'm not bitter at all
I have to say, since the change in Government, the media coverage of people on benefits has become absolutely poisonous. You, however, know you are saving the Government a small fortune in fees for carers and childcare components so you should be in the Job Centre, head held high, making sure they are giving you the best service they can.
Getting into the 9s is a serious achievement, well done. :TBarclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

Wow Fudgie I hadn't thought like that. Next time I will strut about with my head held high (as opposed to this time when I probably looked shameful and embarrassed
).

plmbl, I thought I would tell you about DS2 so you know it isn't just you. He has worked for DWP on a fixed term contract to help with the transition of paying people by cheque to all payments going into accounts. His contract ended as all claimants are now paid directly into accounts. He had to sign on last week and one of the first questions in his initial application he was asked was does he want to be paid by cheque!!!!! It makes you wonder about the whole system. All post goes to a post opening centre now. None goes directly to the office you are dealing with now. Non- civil servants open the post and send it to the 'correct' dept.
Well done on the 9's:T:T:T:T
AND extra well done to DS2 for his weewee:Dbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thanks for that Pooh. Surprise surprise no call back from the Team Manager yesterday, so I called them at 4pm and I've been promised a callback by 1pm today. We will see.
DS2 had one further wee in the toilet yesterday and then reverted to "being scared to go". At least we are a little further forward so will see what the next couple of days bring. Last night I went through to my next-door neighbour's for a catch up with her and another friend. It was so lovely to be 'out' yet be so close to home I didn't need to worry. It was 1am before I got home  At 2am however, DS2 woke up crying because he had a dirty nappy. This NEVER happens during the night so I'm thinking it's 1) he's holding it in during the day
and 2) it's payback for me daring to go out and stay up late. DH then woke me at 7am so I'm wrecked already. (My sympathies and admiration to Mary and Stripes who regularly have much less sleep than that, I don't know how you do it!).
I got weighed yesterday also and I've lost a pound and a half. That means in the 12 weeks I set myself, I've lost 21lbs or a stone and a half. I'm really pleased, even though it falls short of my 2 stone aim. Here's to the next 12 weeks!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Well done on the weight loss - that's amazing! Maybe that's the upside of a sleepless night, they do burn more calories :rotfl:
