OP what bills does your OH pay where he lives now?, as dont forget he wont have to pay those anymore, that will save him money.
    £100 - £10,000
  • I strongly reccomend working more hours, you could be bringing in an extra £150 - £200 a week.

I think that will be a atruggle...I suspect for many years she has worked p/t and the thought of having to work f/t for the same money horrifies her! Bit of a mentality change needed.

    i lose 1400 a month not 14k !
i have 3 teeneage children plus 2 cats. they all need lunches everyday. my eldest needs money to go to college on the bus, i do not get help for that. i also have to clothe and give them pocket money. it all adds up believe me. i do not live beyond my means and i save every penny when i can.

im simply stating that the benfit system is severly flawed. its sad to think i will be better off not living with my partner. we both work for family run businesses and we both work bloody hard!
also i won tbe gainin g27k, my partner earns that money he won tbe giving it straight to me will he.

oh well i hoped for help and all i got was .........well.........
Sorry that the system is not set up to your liking, perhaps you might consider resigning your "right" to a free ride?
More seriously you should consider what is going to happen when your [STRIKE]meal tickets[/STRIKE] children leave education, and the gravy train slams into the buffers.
The help you were hoping for has been supplied, by the taxpayer, for (I expect) some time, you sound most ........................well..........................ungrateful.

i work for a family business and so does my mum and both my sisters. were 18 months into it . i was working previously and helping here with out pay. if i could work more hours and get payed for it i would. on the days im currently not working i am looking after my sisters children so they can work. we help each other out.
i enjoy spending time with my kids after school and weekends and i can currently help both my sisters with childcare. i dont charge them. if i worked more hours somewher else both my sisters would need to pay for childcare.

To be fair I don't think the OP's partner will save any money by not paying his own bills, he will now have another 4 people's bills to pay as well as his own! It's a massive responsibility that he is possibly undertaking, supporting a women and her 3 children, especially since the OP doesn't get any money from the Children's Dad and she herself doesn't earn much.

If it were me, I'd just sack off the partner and take the free money.

im bloody temtped. our lives at current are good ! when we live together we will both lose out. maybe not because we will be living together. he will be paying the rent/ctax and contributing to bills i will have to ask him for money for other things because mine wont even cover the basics ! ive never had to do this before ive always bought up my self and my kids.[/QUOTE]

But you haven't - you've been given the money by the tax-payer.

Are you kidding? THAT'S your reason for not working more hours?!!! Sheesh

Well if you want to help your sisters with free childcare you can't whine about being skint.

Look, I'm gonna cut to the chase....you clearly can't be faffed with this moving in business as you are quite happy with things the way they are....tell your b/f sooner rather than later.

I'm confused.....you are worried about losing £1,400 but you will be getting 27k??? Hmmmmm, when someone agrees to move it with you and if you have kids they are agreeing to support ALL of you, thats why it is called a partnership afterall. If your OH isn't wanting to contribute then i suggest a swift and firm kick up the ariss. It's a sad day we live in when living arangements are made on finances and not because you want to be with someone!
