You'll all be paying for BBC channels in other countries soon YOU in UK cant watch...but you were all appeased by a freeze on the licence, but did you MP tell you in the background after that freeze you will all pay for international channels the BBC has since the Commonwealth Office pulled its BBC funding ? From pre tax to post tax.. Thought NOT !

EDIT, info for the masses: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/worldhaveyoursay/2010/10/your_questions_on_the_future_o.html

Can I get a rebate for the last few years LOL

LOL what do you think these types would say to that.

Nope Safordian, I don't expect BBC to get everything for free - indeed, I was pointing out that our licence fee money goes towards costs of transmission - I said this

Their own costs as I pointed out

but do you agree that you've maybe been misleading? Looks like the Beeb pay their way, with our money, just as they should. I never said they should get anything for free! Indeed, my whole point was to clarify where the licence fee money goes,

Nope because you made it sound like the BBC TV Licence also paid for the transmitters and they don't, their privately owned as I said. All the BBC does is pay for their own signals like ITV,CH4 etc

I've got no problem with paying it.
You should go to America and try to watch TV in between all the adverts!

I've been to America and they have some of the best TV in the world which is why it's sold all around the world.

Your using another BBC pitch, pushing opinions as fact. I enjoy American TV shows

Oh and for your information the Americans have the same amount of adverts as us, each programme is around 43 minutes eithout

Why are you calling people liberals and communists for supporting the Beeb?!

Because you always want things subsidised and if you could create a newspapers tax to fund the Guardian I'm sure you would

Just that it seems to have gone off-post somewhat.

It is extremely easy to AVOID paying this unfair TAX, watch my video on YouTube
TV Licence man 'fiddling about' at /watch?v=MKsUkGEIBck

Please read this CAREFULLY.... watch the video THEN follow the first link in the description, then follow the second link in the description.

    Thank you.

Star Trek on Sky - 1hr, Star Trek on BBC - 45 mins. No ads to skip through. Yes, America does make some quality programming, and the Beeb buys plenty of it, but it's the way it's broadcast that's the problem. There'll be 2 ad breaks in a 30 min show instead of 1 here. Of course the show is the same length, but I prefer 1 ad break to two. Plus you get graphics over programmes telling you what's coming up next (much more intrusive than we have ATM) and just basically lots of distractions. Watching American motor racing is a nightmare!
I'll let you get back to watching Fox 'News'.

I love it when people don't believe me.

    Example-

The American shows (60 minute ones with ads) here are all around 43:13

    http://www.hulu.com/search?query=once+upon+a+time&st=0&fs=

    Shameless 46 minutes

    http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=315708

So there is only 2/3 minutes it it even though you make it out to be huge

Well no one is forcing you to watch it are they and yet you want a whole country to subsidise your beloved BBC...............tell me what makes you BBC lovers so special?

Never watch it, I don't have Sky or Cable but thanks for showing people that I'm correct about your mentality

    @ The Safordian

    Thanks for the thumbs up.
I just joined this site and can not post URL's yet.
I wonder if you could post the URL for that video for me ?

I was taken to Court for exposing the massive loophole in the licensing system and they lost the case.
They were frightened that 'evaders' could easily use my technique and not be detected.

I am surprised that the MSM has not picked up on it but I fear that like 'The Borg' the BBC has its black tendrils firmly in every aspect of our lives and can silence dissent using its LARGE moneybank and even LARGER army of shills, plants and self serving psychophants.

I dont waste my time on DS, it has so obviously been usurped by the BBC and above mentioned army.
One of the Mod's works for them and quite blatantly bans any 'anti' TVL posters.

Remember 'they' have never convinced anyone to buy a TV 'licence' by force of argument, only by FORCE.

Your text on that video appear to show you misunderstand the licensing requirements.

It's no longer whether you own/have equipment capable of receiving live broadcasts, it's now actually watching or recording a live broadcast that requires a licence.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I hope that people will also read the Blog that is quoted in the video comments.
If you follow the links in the blog you will get the full picture of the events.

We live in a time of change.
When I was a kid we all used to gather round the radio.
When TV came on the scene there was much wailing an hand-wringing about the change in social habits.
TV never killed off radio as feared.

Now with new technology and the digital switchover the Licence fee will go the way of the Radio Licence.

People want choice, its as simple as that.

If it takes 'Avoidance tactics' to force social change then so be it.
In my experience the people who rail on loudest about the end of the 'fee' are the ones with a vested interest.
Listen to the people and give us CHOICE.
