Ha ha I'm drinking Vi*to from a wineglass and trying to make believe its red wine. How MSE is that?

Hi Sundaygirl :hello: Just discovered your diary tonight (ha ha, nothing better to do on a Saturday night than lurk on the MSE boards
Tis the weekend before payday so yes, I have nothing better to do....)
It all sounds very positive. I've just subscribed so I'm looking forward to watching your progress :money:0 -
Hi Susie Sue nice to see you

I spend most nights lurking on MSE too so I'm probably addicted
I'm really ashamed to admit it, but I didn't wake up till 10.00am today!! I must have been more tired than I thought last night.
Two loads of washing already out on the line, but I can see some suspicious looking clouds working their way over. Next job is give the bedrooms a deep clean. I'm putting off sorting out the insurances till later because I hate that job.
Its so nice having the house to myself today

Jobs done so far:-
1. Bedrooms all deep cleaned and hoovered
2. Bathroom and small toilet scrubbed and spotless.
3. Everything washed and drying nicely on the line.
4. Ironed everything that was ready to iron (not much really only about 6 tshirts).
5. Living/dining room hoovered, dusted and polished.
Sounds like more than it is, one thing about starting from scratch is no clutter, so everything takes much less time to clean (less things to move about and hoover underneath). I quite like cleaning if I'm honest (sad I know!), its good to have at least one aspect of my life in good order because my finances definitely aren't
Today has been a NSD so far, but to be fair, I haven't been anywhere either. I think I'm going to keep count of all my NSDs in my signature this month.
Don't think I'll have time so sort out my insurances today, my next job is to make a huge lasagne for tea, with enough extra portions to freeze.
Back later to waffle on some more

I've collapsed in a heap on the sofa now, I'm not doing anything else. I really fancy a glass of wine, but I haven't bought any this month. This will hopefully benefit my waistline as well as my pocket

The rain they forecast today didn't come, so I'm happy to say all my bedding and laundry dried outside, so no tumble dryer used today. I wonder how many pennies I saved by putting them out. I'm sure there's a way to find out
I've also ironed them all. I'm trying to keep on top of my own laundry this week because I know my parents have a load of stuff they want me to wash to get them ready for winter. I didn't get there today, so I'll pop in on my way home from work tomorrow to check up on them and pick up the laundry.
Made a huge lasagne tonight and managed to freeze 5 portions to help keep us going this month. DS2 and DS3 were here for dinner so we had lasagne and chips tonight. Didn't have time to make my shepherds pie, so I'll make that for tea tomorrow and freeze the leftovers. I just need to buy some stock cubes.
I also got some chicken breasts in Al*i the other day, so if I get some curry powder tomorrow, I'll make my own chicken curry on Tuesday.
I wish I could keep this "new me" going, but I seem to have one good day when I get everything done, followed by a few days when I don't feel like doing anything.
My ebay buyers from yesterday are a bit slow to pay. Three have already paid and I'm still waiting for the other three. I've had so many non-paying bidders this month, I'm starting to think someone's playing games with me
Still haven't found a nice recipe to use with the lamb breast my dad gave me the other day so any suggestions welcome.Five years/60 months to sort myself out - Month 2/608.33% PAID

Looking at your SOA, your boyfriend isnt giving you much a month for his share of bills. He wouldnt be able to rent anywhere that cheaply. My partner gives me £700, as he says it would cost him a lot more to live on his own!!0

Hi, themull1, he is paying what he can afford at the moment. He is on a much lower wage than me and still has 4 years left to run on an IVA. He also helps support 2 of this 3 sons still living at home with his ex. This leaves him with hardly any money left at the end of the month. I know if he could he would pay for everything (not that I'd let him )

Actually, if you take the car and the debt out of the equation, his half of the mortgage and all the household bills would be £480, would it not? So kinda what he's paying!0 -
Yes, SS you're right. I'm quite happy with how we share the bills.
The debts are all mine and by rights, I should be debt free and have about £600 spare each month, but after the divorce I went a bit mad and wasted a lot of money on stuff I didn't need, or even want really, just to keep up appearances
My ex always said I was carp with money and all I've done is prove him right, which is why this debt really has to go. Its not the amount I owe that gets me down, its knowing that the ex was right all along and I'm useless.Five years/60 months to sort myself out - Month 2/608.33% PAID
