Had a brill day at the carboot today.

We left home at 5.45am and had a bacon butty at a truckstop on the way
BF and I have decided to start a little business, buying stuff at carboots and selling them on Eb*y. We're having a little experiment first though, just to see if it works. We spent a grand total of £23 between us and if we can turn a profit on that, we'll set it up properly and register as a business with HMRC. We've talked about it a lot, but we've decided to give it a try and see if we can make a little extra cash. It might just be an epic failure (which is all I seem to be capable of lately), but we're going to give it a go. And if it is a failure, £11.50 each isn't too much to lose, is it?
For myself, I bought:-
1. Another little table to paint for the princely sum of £2.
2. A delux corkscrew for £1
3. A glass jug for 50p
My little table will hopefully sit just inside my front door.
My moneysaving has gone completely out the window though, the harder I try, the deeper I seem to dig, but I'm not giving up. I'll have to wait now for the bills to come in and start from scratch.
On that note, I'll say goodnight. I'm off to read a few diaries to try desperately to gain some much needed inspiration xFive years/60 months to sort myself out - Month 2/608.33% PAID

Hello, I hope everyone had a good day today. Its been ok on the MSE side of things here, today was a NSD thank goodness.
Started working on my table today. I've given it two coats of primer and tomorrow I'm hoping to start with the topcoat. I'm going to paint it with F&B eggshell paint in Bone. I've asked a question on the Shabby Chic thread, because I'm not sure if I should wax it or is eggshell paint ok without waxing?
I was also hoping someone could give me an idiots guide to uploading my before and after pics as I have no idea!
Did a lot of ebay listing this morning. Sold an item of jewellery for £70 which can go towards one of the credit cards. Other than that nothing much else happened today. Hi Sunday Girl, hope you're well
How did your little table turn out? Do you have any pictures? It sounds really cool!
Good luck with SW. About 10 years ago I weighed in at a similar weight to you (and I too was shocked at how heavy I was ) but I got myself down to 9 stone (ish) and have stayed between 9 and 10 stone ever since so I just wanted to give you some encouragement and wish you luck with it. It's a wonderful feeling when your clothes feel a little looser, or someone comments that you look like you've lost weight!
It took me about 8 or 9 months I think to lose the weight so look at it as a long term thing, rather than a sprint. I initially chose 10 stone 10 as my target weight as it was the top healthy BMI weight for my height, but once I reached it, my eating habits had changed so much that I just carried on as healthy eating had just become a way of life for me. And if you have a bad day (which you will - I had a hormonal day last week where I ate bagels and nutella along with any chocolate I could get my hands on :EasterBun), see it just one day and get back to healthy eating the next day. I've never done SW, but my understanding is that it's pretty easy to follow and fit it in with family life.
Better up that clothing allowance, you'll need a whole new wardrobe before you know it
