Good luck with getting your debt down, I like the little positives in your post. I'm such a pessamist I think it's a really good idea. Also thanks for making me log into my long abandoned one poll account - I have £10.30 in there so hopefully I can persevere and get to payout!
    Finally bought a home

  • I have about 15 items ending tomorrow and the others in stages during the next week. I have 10 watchers on one item, so I hope that sells well.

I've had a good month at work this month having worked two Bank Holidays, so I should be able to pay at least £100 off the Next total and £100 off the CC.

Hope the DMP is going ok, BF has an IVA which he's been paying since Oct last year. It was a huge weight off his shoulders.

  • Hello, nichelette, I've just been reading your diary!

    Thanks for saying hello.

I'm also a pessimist. I'm always thinking if something can go wrong it probably will, so I thought I'd try a different approach. I can't promise to keep it up though :)

  • Here I am again!

Just a quick sneaky post at work.

    So far have managed to:-

    My plan for Monday
    [STRIKE]Make my own lunch.
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Try to make it a NSD
    [/STRIKE]Check my surveys
[STRIKE]Pay £50 cheque into bank (money owed to me)
[/STRIKE]Feed BF and me from food we have in the cupboard.

Failed on the NSD (unexpected purchase of lady items!) still, there's always tomorrow.

Tonights dinner will be lemon sole goujons from the freezer and some Uncle Bens rice - all store cupboard.

Just had a sneaky look on ebay, looks like I have three sales today, amounting up to about £90 so far. About 10 lots ending this morning failed to sell, so will be relisted later.

Have been working on my SOA and hope to post it later :o

    Better go x

The £120 "other child related expense" is the money I have to pay the ex towards DS3's keep. DS3 is 17 and this will continue until he is 18. This was set in the Order at the time of the divorce.

Just to explain, I have 3 sons. DS1 has finished Uni and is lucky to be in full time employment. DS2 is nearing the end of his second year at Uni. DS3 is in his first year at 6th form college. The divorce was messy, and even though DS3 splits his time between here and his dad's I still have to pay this amount every month. I also buy all his clothes and pay half his college expenses.

I pay DS3's mobile phone contract, but this will stop as soon as he finishes college and (hopefully) gets a job.

Anyway, I'd better change the subject, this diary is a new start and its in danger of turning into rant :o

    Things to do tomorrow
Try (again) to have a NSD
Take my own lunch into work
Eat from the store cupboard again

    Good things about today
I have £99 in paypal ready to be transferred to the Bank
    I've finally done my SOA

I have a question, is there a limit to how many online savings accounts one person can open? I've had an idea - the idea is to open two accounts, one for birthdays and another for Christmas and transfer any spare amounts (however small) into these two accounts, hopefully avoiding the need to put anything on my ccs

there free listings are a con anyway you save about a penny an item but still have pay a massive 10% final value fee per item.

they also dont allow sellers to leave negative feedback so if someone rips you off or is a pain to sell to they can get away with it but a buyer can say what they want and you cant respond to them.

  • Just a quick post before work.

I have £15 left in the bank and nothing in my purse, so I hope this is enough to post the three ebay items that ended yesterday, I don't want to use my card, and I don't want to transfer from my emergency fund unless I have to.

Payday a week today, I wonder if I can make the store cupboard last till then??

I hope everyone has a good day x

Haven't spent a penny today. I Posted three ebay parcels, but I'm not counting these because they've already been paid for. The money is still in my paypal account at the moment, just till they leave their feedback.

I've just checked my bank account and I've got £12 of charges coming out next month, all because I used my card in the coop and forgot about it. I've been really careless about keeping track of things and now its costing me money. I really need to stop popping to the shop and keep a better eye on what I'm spending (or even better stop spending!)

I came home from work today in a really stinky mood and polished off half an easter egg...........not good for my diet at all!

Really can't wait till payday, so I can open my three new savings accounts, one for birthdays, one for Christmas and another for car expenses. Still don't know if its possible to have more than one online savings account, but can't try it till I get paid because I have nothing to put in them.

    Things to do tomorrow
    Take my lunch to work
    Do not spend anything
Not get stressed out at work.

Can't think of any positives today other than not spending anything.

Hope everyone else had a good MSE day :)
