  • Thanks for that
the fleet company are the owners and registered keeper, road tax, mot in thier name which is why i do not understand how they got our details

You mean that your company is the 'registered keeper'? And the lease hire company is the owner?

The PPCs will have got whatever detail is lodged with the DVLA by paying £2.50 for the privilege. You could send an email to the DVLA and ask why your details are being released when your company is neither the owner of those vehicles nor (obviously) the 'driver' - ask what information is stored and who obtained the data and when. I THINK the DVLA do issue the keeper's details so in your case this seems the correct data to me but no harm in following it up with the DVLA to complain about the data release.

Either way ignore the PPC and the debt collector letters that follow. Have fun and stick them up on your Fleet Noticeboard for everyone to have a laugh and learn about this scam.

Hi all, new to this forum so please be gentle! :-) Have recently been snapped at a motorway services by these cowboys. Just after midnight, tired, stopped for a rest, ended up staying for almost 4 hrs, now they're demanding money with threats of court action. Is the best approach still to ignore all correspondence? Your thoughts & advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks. . .
    John

OMG thats EXACTLY what has just happened to me! I was driving after mid-night, pulled straight into services and fell asleep straight away and i was there for 4 1/2 hours, just got a letter through today. So are you ignoring it? Did you appeal?

Ignore. There's no point in appealing. What's in it for them to let you off paying?

This situation at M-way services is scandalous. They clearly prefer you to drive on tired and possibly fall asleep at the wheel.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

They are used to having a substantial proportion of people ignoring them, but don't make anything of it as they do very well thank you out of the mugs that pay. Luckily you are no mug. Please tell everyone you know, never pay a private parking ticket!

    Keep Smiling:)
  • Took a picture this morning of a Cp Plus van parked in a setting down bay at Yorkhill sick kids hospital. The vehicle was parked for some time depriving parents of sick children from parking. I tried to upload the picture but don't know how!

Anyone know of any self-ticketing PPC operations that we could 'feed' the registration number of this van into?
