Send them a real claim form back for harrasment. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
It hasnt got a seal, so it cant possibly be real...........neither does it have a case number.
That form amounts to fraud and deception. I would bring it to the courts attention.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -
SRS don't learn do he!
They did say they had new tactics, I hope they haven't paid much for this idea!0 -
I would definately be calling the Court and asking if any offence is committed by using an official Court document to extort money from people.
Of course as the form isn't real it can be safely ignored.0 -
It needs reporting to:
-Trading Standards
-The BPA
-Northampton Court
-The DVLA
Have they sent these paers purporting them to be court papers, or are they implying this is the next step.
One is legal and the other isnt.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -

Evidently Trading Standards/Consumer Focus don't think that they are doing anything wrong. This from Nev Metson over on CAG:-
I have previously raised this 'practice' of sending out draft court papers with Consumer Focus and apparently it is a legitimate tactic of demonstrating the intent that the claimant 'means business'
From an email to me from Consumer Focus (16th June 2011)
"I should say that it is not totally unheard of to send papers in draft before you issue. This can sometimes show a potential defendant that you are serious about taking them to court. Much depends on what was said about them when they were sent to the other party. If XXX/their debt recovery agents are purporting to send issued claims, that is one thing – if they make it clear that the papers are draft and will be sent for issue if payment is not received, that is another thing".
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
