No, really, I think a cheque is best. Don't imagine they will cash it anyway. I just had visions of them altering it to read seventy pounds and five pence or something- but I am afraid I simply am a bit cynical about these people! Maybe that's one con too far for them.0 -
OK sounds like a cheque is the best option (would love to see there face though when they got a 5p piece). Now am I right in thinking, no stamp on envelope and address it starting with:
Payment for Parking Charge
Excel Parking Services Ltd
etc

OK bit of a problem, daughter doesn't have a cheque book. So should I write one of mine, or revert back to 5p coin idea ? :undecidedHi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0

Nothing wrong with a third party cheque.0

What about one of these new nickel plated 5p coins?

With luck, someone at the PPC might be allergic to them.
I do still recommend a cheque. You have proof that you sent it. You can see if and when they accept and cash it.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

I know what i'd like to coat it with:D
Thanks for that and to FA, I'll send them one of my cheques with Notice No: on back and "in full and final payment" written on.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0 -

Well I sent off the 5p cheque (no stamp, and with the first line off the address "Payment for Parking charge") he he
. My daughter got a letter back this morning with usual waffle about "additional challenge" and the notice being issued correctly and the charge will stand. Then a line which says " Enclosed herewith is your cheque for the amout of 5 pence. We are returning this cheque as this payment is insufficient to our request. Having paid the postage to get this payment I would have loved to have been there when they opened it and found a cheque for 5p  Result:
.
I have to say I was surprised that they then waisted more postage to send it back. Maybe they think there gonna get some more money. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0 -
Not that they were ever going to take it anywhere, but you can now relax in the knowledge that they have provided you with all the evidence you would need if you had to defend anything.
Excel.........................don't.0 -
We are returning this cheque as this payment is insufficient to our request.
They can obviously stick their 'request' where the sun don't shine.
They're complete morons.0
