Is this correct?
Your ticket said you had paid 5p under the charge, and they sent you a demand for signifficantly more, however being a good citizen yo decided to pay them the money that you beleived that you owed them, in this case 5p , but they have turned down your offer and are now demanding a substantial sum?
hmmm, youve been honest about this, youve taken all reasonable steps to re pay them and compensate for their losses, and as a pirvate company can not levy penalty charges/fines and other punative charges theres nothing to worry about on your side of things.
However if they start sending threatening letters, it may be a good idea to send them one back, reminding them that you offered to pay them the 5 pence as that represneted their loss, and this was turned down, should they send any more letters then you may take action against the owners / operators of the car park ( as they are responsable for the actions of their agents) and the parking company for harrasment, someone else on here ( Give them FA ) may be able to advise further on how to do this.
if possible go for the car park owners, or those responsable for hiring the Parking company, without whos permision the parasites will be unable to opperate. From the Plain Language Commission:

They already had their warning in my letter with the 5p that any further letters would be seen as haressment. Not sure I want to waste any more time on the half wits.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0 -
These people assume that everyone they write to is dim. However, where they are not, then they leave themselves wide open. That is the risk that they take with their unlawful business practices.0

Received "Notice To Owner" today, just same as on sticky, some of the threatening wording on this letter is absoultly disgaceful  I'm not surprised people pay up
. I have to say I am finding it very difficult to ignore this letter. I really, really want to tell them to take their letter and shove it as far up their !!!!! as possible, or better still let me do it.
OK rant over.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0 -

If you are that upset, don't rant, sue. If more people did the scammers would have to reconsider their actions.0 -

Yes, kemo sabay, you've sent them a silver bullet in the form of a LBA/NBA, yet they still seem to be sending you all the evidence you'll need. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot. Don't get mad, get even. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Doesn't it cost a business account to cash a cheque? Or is it just for writing one? I'm sure my company are charged 50p for each cheque they write.0

OK have recieved FINAL DEMAND NOTICE today along with a "FAKE" court claim form. Now we (my daughter & I) are of course going to continue to ignore this rubbish, but I found the claim form interesting in that it has been over printed with the word DRAFT in large bold print. Now as the document is Crown copyright I was wondering if Excel themselves had overprinted this form as this would surly be a breach of copyright. Anyone any info?Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0
